Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager

As a member of the technical production staff, the Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, and review of mechanical systems. This includes drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and similar products and services. Mechanical systems generally include HVAC, plumbing, control systems, medical gases, process piping, and fire protection. In addition, the Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for project management when assigned and client relationship management on a firm wide basis. Work Environment - Most work is performed in an office environment. Regular trips to a variety of locations for meetings and observations are also required. Expected Hours - This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week. A 7AM to 9AM start time will be negotiated with your supervisor. Schedule will be coordinated with the normal Monday through Friday, 9AM to 3PM core hours. An unpaid lunch hour beginning at 11:45AM is available. Requires adjusting schedule to suit clients and working overtime as necessary to satisfactorily meet project schedules. Physical Demands - This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. It also requires the use of basic motor, oral, and visual skills, such as the ability to walk, use hands, talk, hear, and the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, and to adjust focus. It requires the ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift/carry materials weighing up to 25 lbs. Travel - This position requires regular day trips throughout the mid-Atlantic area. It requires an occasional overnight trip and travel by plane. It requires a valid driver's license and appropriate vehicle. Work Authorization/Security Clearance - This position requires the ability to pass a background check and obtain clearance for client and government contracts. Must be approved for working in the United States.
