Mechanical Designer (3D)

We here at Techniserv, Inc are seeking a Mechanical Designer (3D) to join our talented Design team. About the Role: This position is onsite in Berwick, PA with a weekly schedule of Monday through Friday 7:00AM - 4:00PM. The hourly range for this position is $26.00/hr. to $29.00/hr., with an annual bonus. An excellent benefits package with insurance, education, and 401k is also included. The Mechanical Designer position works within our Sanitary Process Equipment Design Group and is available for individuals with experience in the following areas: Required Experience: • 3 years of experience. • AS or AAS in Mechanical Design/CAD Drafting/Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar required. • BS Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/CAD/Engineering Technology (preferred). • Process Design expertise (Pumps/Heat Exchangers/Vessels/Line sizing, etc) (preferred). • 3D CAD experience, Autodesk Inventor preferred. • Familiar with Fluid Process in the Pharmaceutical & Biotech industries. • Ability to understand P&ID drawings. • Bioreactor and/or Pharmaceutical processes (preferred). • Experience in high purity piping & equipment design (preferred). • Familiar with ASME BPE requirements (preferred). Job Details: • Read and interpret P&IDs. • 3D piping design. • 2D drawing (P&IDs, etc). • Drafting (detail drawings). • Moderate travel may be required (less than 15%) with a Travel Bonus Program. • Perform all other duties and functions as assigned. The Big Picture – Top Skills You Should Possess: • Thorough understanding of Microsoft software • Ability to work independently, use problem-solving judgment and organize and prioritize work assignments • Ability to conduct oneself professionally and with diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality where necessary • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) • Full knowledge of the Planning requirements within the Nuclear industry (e.g. reference material, process and procedures), and experience planning or the ability to quickly to start planning within the clients work management system What You Will Be Doing: • Develop comprehensive work packages within client's work management system (Maximo) • Support field operations on tagging/clearance requirements. • Interface with field operations on the development of estimate, schedule and resource loading • Assist in material procurement and material receipt inspection • Perform real and virtual walk downs with field operations What You Need To Bring To The Table: • High school diploma required; some college or post secondary education preferred • 5 to 10 years of applicable experience or BS Degree in an Engineering. Plus 3 years field planning experience. • Computer proficiency certifications a plus or equivalent education • MAXIMO and NIMS Planning experience In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $98,800- $158,080.
