Electro Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Description Join our team as a Maintenance Technician (stronger on the electrical side), where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring the functionality of our crossarm manufacturing equipment. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining various electrical systems and components, excluding PLC programming. Responsibilities • Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment. • Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider, and Automation Direct (programming not required). • Conduct preventive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. • Change belts and bearings as needed. • Maintain and troubleshoot servo drives and VFDs. • Work on pultrusion machines and ensure their proper functioning. Details: • Schedule: Mon - Fri, with occasional overtime on the weekends • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm • Must be available to train on 1st shift • Pay: $28 - 30/hr (based on skills/interview) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr. Where is the work: This position will be onsite each day in Newberry, SC What you will do: • Leads on PALMA changes for projects, change requests and for issues coming from order services team (during work packet/shop order creation) and provide estimates on efforts required to update PALMA and ERP for project/CRs • Track requests in PALMA using an identifier (source of request - Project vs CR vs Field issue) • Give assignments to Module Owners and track them to closure Accountable for: • Changes CFG/SI/GPS/SPM components in PALMA and in ERP (Module/Variant BOM updates) shop floor drawings (work order packet, shop order) • Collaborate to ensure TSA system is also updated for any changes pertaining to new options being added and/or Model number updates. Essentially ensure that TSA, PALMA, Windchill and MAX systems are always "in sync" • Coordinates on PIPO - Obsoleting old parts, rules etc in PALMA and Max • Monitors and review MVS work being done by Module owners • Coaches and mentors new Module owners by working closely with Chief Product Architect • There is an LMS module in PALMA (self paced training) - Roberta to evaluate if the current license has this feature enabled. • Has a good understanding of process, design documentation gaps & further define component configurations (pnid, tnp module) • Spearheads day-day activities to coordinate requirements by leading on problem rail and module owner discussions. • Works very closely with Chief Product Architect, Design Leads, ETC designers, Project managers and stake holders • Success areas (PALMA specific Skillset/Knowledge) What we expect of you: • Degree in Engineering or related technical disciplines. • Deep understanding of Palma environment understanding to know where relationships/logic/rules are derived from and how they could conflict throughout the space • Intimate product knowledge if not given “cheat sheet” in Layman’s terms how products are configured or rules to replicate • In depth understanding of how the solver navigates the SPM’s and GPS logic to reduce the solution space down to the correct module variant in the right nodes andvalidate the CFG structure. • Recognition of changing data/conditions/relationships in one space may create an unintended result in another. Need to manually verify configurator solutions methodically or randomly and vet out the solution to ensure it’s not a FALSE SOLUTION This is a Safety Sensitive Role. About the position Nesco Resource is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Newberry, SC. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of three years of manufacturing experience.
