See More Details >>Position Summary The Mechanical/Electrical Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment in the production facility and its support areas. Role and Responsibilities Second Shift ~ Perform building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary ~ Implement preventative maintenance measures ~ Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies ~ Complete inspections of offices and laboratories with Maintenance Manager ~ Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol ~ Install, modify, repair and upgrade electrical, mechanical and control/computer equipment ~ Troubleshoot malfunctions in operating equipment ~ Conduct Preventive and Predictive Maintenance inspections to see if equipment deficiency exists ~ Calibration and certification of shop and process equipment ~ Maintain Programmable Controllers and computer systems ~ Complete overhauls of various types of equipment such as, but not limited to: Reactor drives, gear boxes, pumps, mechanical seals, powered mobile equipment, air compressors and boilers ~ Operation of grinders, saws, drills and various hand tools and shop equipment in a safe and effective manner ~ Perform other maintenance duties as requested. ~ Other responsibilities as assigned management; job duties may change at any time with or without notice #LI-ONSITE Skills and Qualifications Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position: + High School diploma or equivalent + Must be able to read and write in English + The ability to stand up for 8 to 10 hours a day, plus additional overtime as needed + Available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays + Flexible work availability and able to work overtime as needed with same-day notice + The ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis + The ability to pass a drug test and background check + Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions + 10 or more years of relevant/related work experience PREFERRED/DESIRED: + Associate's degree in a skilled trades field + Millwright or Electrician certificate + Need to be able to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment + Proficient with the use of shop equipment including mills, lathes, grinders and welders + The ability to work with components that are in constant motion along an assembly line without adverse effects + The ability to work on a team of co-workers in close proximity to each other + The ability to make timely decisions and provide feedback to each other + Have a strong desire for personal and professional development • Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
