Your daily impact: • Support the design and analysis of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and other related infrastructure. • Conduct engineering calculations, including pump sizing, hydraulic modeling, thermal performance analysis, and air/gas system design. • Prepare technical documentation such as mechanical plans, specifications, and design reports. • Design mechanical building systems, including HVAC, gas, plumbing, fire suppression, and air conveyance. • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and integrated project delivery. • Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and assist with field inspections to verify compliance with design standards and codes. • Incorporate energy-efficient solutions into mechanical system planning and participate in permit application processes as needed. What you bring to the table: • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related discipline) from an accredited institution. • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and/or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred. • 0–7 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in water or wastewater infrastructure. • Foundational understanding or a strong interest in learning mechanical systems design (e.g., pumps, piping, HVAC, process systems). • Familiarity with applicable standards and codes such as IMC, IBC, IECC, ASHRAE, ASME, SMACNA, AWWA, and NFPA. • Experience with or willingness to learn CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit) and mechanical analysis software. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills. • Initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • Willingness to travel to project sites and support work beyond standard office hours when necessary. Mechanical Technician – HVAC – Diesel
