Your contributions to the development and compliance of mechanical designs, including pumps, valves, and HVAC systems, are vital to maintaining our projects' integrity and operational effectiveness. Your daily impact: • Assist in designing and analyzing mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure. • Conduct mechanical calculations and simulations, including pump selection, hydraulic modeling, air/gas pipe modeling, and thermal performance analyses. • Prepare detailed mechanical plans, specifications, and reports for project documentation, ensuring adherence to project requirements, standards, and local codes. • Prepare detailed building mechanical systems, such as HVAC, gas, plumbing, fire suppression, air conveyance, and process air blowers. • Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into comprehensive project designs. • Review shop drawings and submittals from contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes. • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor the progress of mechanical installations, providing technical guidance and support during construction. • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues during construction and operational phases. • Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate project status and present engineering solutions. • Provide design and analysis in Energy Efficiency solutions for building planning. • Stay current with industry advancements and best practices in mechanical engineering as they pertain to water and wastewater management. What you bring to the table: • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program. • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or to be obtained within six (6) months of hire. • 3-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically related to water and wastewater infrastructure. • Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, including pumps, piping, HVAC, compressible air/gas systems, and process equipment. • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IMC, IBC, IECC, ASHRAE, ASME, SMACNA, AWWA, NFPA). • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and mechanical analysis tools. • Proficiency in Microsoft software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and innovative design approaches. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information effectively. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Willingness to travel to project sites and work outside standard hours when necessary. Manufacturing Automation Project Engineer

This role will focus on implementing and sustaining automation equipment, by working in close collaboration with the manufacturing and automation teams. What You'll Do • Support the implementation of automation projects from concept to commissioning. • Follow timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within the manufacturing budget • Support equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet design specifications and performance requirements. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase to minimize downtime. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems into existing manufacturing processes. • Provide training and support to operations teams on the use and documentation for standard procedures. • Innovate low cost PoC to improve quality, efficiency, ergonomics and safety. • Assist process engineers with control and data collection systems What We're Looking For • B.S in Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering; or equivalent experience. • 2+ years of experience in PLC , C/C++ , HMI • Strong experience in arduino, electrical PoC with Dandy speed implementation. • Strong technical skills and ability to understand complex automation systems. • Knowledge of CPK, OEE, Yield and availability for machine metrics. • Experience participating in FAT, SAT and machine buyoff at vendor sites. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Provide on-call support during equipment implementation • Identify and outline steps to troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures. • 10% travel internationally Bonus Points For • Experience with qualification of custom automation equipment • Experience with coatings and/or pneumatic atomization • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to automation systems in the manufacturing industry. • Experience with robotic systems integration, AOI and programming.
