Position Description: The Mechanical Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customers’ location, communicating via phone, conducting video calls to diagnose and repair mechanical issues with paint booth or related equipment along with additional service needs identified. The hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Extensive travel in the region as well as occasional overnight and out of state is required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Constantly communicates directly with customers. · Troubleshoots/diagnoses in person, via phone or video. · Reads blueprints and electrical schematics. · Skills included being mechanically/technically inclined. · Uses diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluating the available information. · Fixes defective or broken products or ordering the necessary parts to replace faulty or worn-out parts. · Completes other tasks as assigned by either the crew lead or coordinator. Required Qualifications: · 2 or more years of experience in a Service Technician or related job. · Must be able to use a voltmeter. · Proven strong customer service and communication skills. · Experience in a manufacturing organization is preferred. · Strong problem solving skills. · Ability to work independently. · Managing time on service calls with patience and not rushing the job. · Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in a situation. · Current good driving record with a valid driver's license. · Proficient user of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel. · Experience and demonstrated success providing customer service and working closely with customers to achieve common goals.
