Position Summary: As an Field Mechanical Technician, you will leverage your expertise to ensure our customer where you are posted remains satisfied by performing planned maintenance and addressing service calls in a timely and professional manner. Your role will involve the maintenance and repair of conveyor systems, prioritizing service calls. You'll handle production support needs during their production shift. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures • Complete planned maintenance routines with proper documentation • Troubleshoot mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment (MHE) which includes conveyor belts, VFDs, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more. • Maintain a professional manner in front of the customer to guarantee a professional image for our company. • Track and store department inventory • Be knowledgeable of the equipment to which you may be exposed. • Preview calendar, and Job tickets assigned by office in advance before the day of the assignment. • Identify what is needed for the job, and make sure you are prepared for the assignment. • Communicate back to the office any questions you may have to be prepared for the assignment. • Accept new duties and responsibilities when assigned. • Work well with other on-site technicians and subcontractors. • Perform walk through inspection reporting anything vital on a work-order and email. • Turn in customer signed work-orders daily accounting for labor and travel between arriving at the first site and leaving the last. • If a problem arises for which you need help, do not waste any time during customer production. Call your manager and ask for assistance. • Responsible for maintaining spare parts inventory onsite. Keeping an accurate inventory list • Demonstrate superior communication skills Basic Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent • 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong focus on automated conveyor systems • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure • Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Wood, Outlook and internet • Basic math skills and reasoning ability required Preferred Qualifications: • Technical certification or associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field; Hytrol knowledge a plus • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical field as a maintenance technician Physical Requirements: • Ability to move heavy equipment and parts (up to 100 lbs). • Comfortable working in various industrial environments, which may include heights, confined spaces, and exposure to varying temperatures. • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Qualified candidates must have at least 3 years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This plant is a climate-controlled facility. The candidate must be a team player and be willing to share knowledge.
