General Mechanic

The salary range for this role is: $30.23 - $30.23 Responsibilities: • This position is responsible for assembling, installation, maintenance, proper orientation, repair, and overhaul of all warehouses, labeling department, building machinery, equipment, safety improvements and additional improvements. • Employee is to ensure compliance with all approved / applicable safety rules and good manufacturing practices. • Be familiar with pneumatics, hydraulics, circuitry, electronic sensors. Be proficient in the use of test equipment such as multimeters, clamp on amp meter, ohm meter. • Must be able to read and understand blueprints, circuit diagrams, and ladder logic diagrams. • Plan and layout future work schedules. Update and store records of inventories. • Perform mechanical work including gears and bearings, repair, and construction of material handling equipment. • Repair and install hydraulic system-pumps and flow systems. Do maintenance wiring, installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, and power circuits. Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, lighting, heating, and power circuits. • Make preventative and running repairs and corrections. • Do installation, connection, adjustment, and calibration of electrical gauges and recording instruments. • Have a sound background in solid state circuitry and devices, high voltage D.C. rectifier and control circuits. • Have experience working with 480V three phase. • Demonstrate ability to trouble shoot equipment controlled by P.C. controllers, various mechanical equipment sequencers. • Perform and follow lock out tag out procedures. • Maintain open communication with supervisors and employees on any changes that may occur while on task. • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. • Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards. • It is the responsibility of each employee to perform their work in a manner which will not endanger their own safety and will protect the health and safety of others and to cooperate and participate in the safety and health programs of the company. • Occasionally lifting and carrying items that weigh up to 50 lbs. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required • Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered. • Must have 5-7+ years Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Must be able to pass a Multi-Craft Aptitude Test (Mechanical and Electrical). Must be a current certified OSHA forklift operator. Must be able to work any shift and weekends/OT as required. • Must be able to work in a quick paced environment, while working well with others and promoting a positive attitude. • Powered industrial lift truck qualification.
