PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under direct supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations. Multi Site Continuous Improvement Engineer

Multi-Site Continuous Improvement Engineer Reporting to: Director of Maintenance & Engineering A manufacturing company in the Chicagoland area is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in evaluating processes, improving manufacturing systems, and driving operational excellence across multiple sites. This position requires travel to our two facilities in Chicago as well as Massachusetts . Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities • Evaluate processes and configure manufacturing systems to improve operating capability and sustainability, while maintaining safety and reliability standards. • Develop best practices within the production process and propose new equipment or modifications. • Coach, lead, facilitate, and mentor associates in continuous improvement activities. • Lead asset management efforts, validate asset data, and review the PM program to identify and implement improvements. • Collaborate with production and support personnel to develop and optimize process settings and document them as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Utilize engineering principles and data analysis to reduce variation in manufacturing processes and improve operating efficiency. • Work closely with the Maintenance department on line trials. • Facilitate criticality analyses on systems and equipment, ensuring efficient resource allocation. • Schedule and perform thorough FMEA's on critical equipment in preparation for the implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes. • Review and validate the maintenance program, optimize procedures and frequencies, and implement routine, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and best practices, lead implementation efforts, and work with stakeholders to improve maintenance performance. • Track and analyze work order management, implement scheduling and planning best practices, and optimize work order performance. • Provide expertise in identifying and implementing industry-leading metrics to improve site and account performance. • Offer expert-level CMMS expertise, identifying and addressing potential gaps in training, data management, and reporting. Requirements/Skills: • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical preferred). • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma) in a manufacturing facility. • Must be Open to Travel • Six Sigma Green Belt Highly Preferred • Food Manufacturing Experience is Highly Preferred • CMMS platform experience is required. • GFSI certification a plus. • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
