Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Overview Mechanical Maintenance Technician is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of an organization's facilities and equipment. This job title involves performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties To act in accordance with the instructions in case of machinery, machine group, facility and equipment maintenance, repair, modification and carry over situations. Identification of the breakdown situation certain machinery and equipment groups, hardware and facilities: to report the situation to his/her supervisor;to repair the breakdown with the approval of his/her supervisor; to realize assembling and dissembling activities. To replace defective standard parts and modules with new ones; to contribute to the production and control of these parts when necessary. Work in shifts; to enter maintenance and repair cards into the system and fill out standard maintenance reports. Maintain repair and machine maintenance records. Responsible for order and cleanliness at the workplace. Clean work area and keep all the equipment's and tools properly. Work in accordance with safety and environmental rules. Able to stand, lift, push, bend, kneel, pull heavy items and equipment. Skills Two year's experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Must have at least one document HSD/GED, certificate or Technical license. Must know how to read, write and speak English. Basic knowledge computer applications. Background and Drug Test Job located Santa Teresa 12-hour shifts 7pm/7 am-7 am/7 pm 4 days on/3 days off 36/48 hours which rotate every 3 months. Mechanical Assembly Process Engineer

JOB PURPOSE: Our Mechanical Assembly Process Engineer specializes in mechanical assembly processes, focusing on integrating various components to produce the final product. As a key member of New Product Development (NPD) teams, they lead the development of new assembly processes from initial concept through to production qualification. Additionally, as part of Product Transfer teams, they are responsible for replicating, enhancing, and resolving issues in inbound product assembly process transfers, ensuring a smooth transition from planning to production qualification. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (include but not limited to) Process Design and Development: Develop and optimize mechanical assembly processes Able to create mechanical concepts based on customer inputs and/or requirements Create detailed process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Perform process risk analyses. Implement and complete process validations. Select, design, develop and document manual and semi-automated assembly equipment and tooling to support efficient and high-quality production. Ensure equipment and tooling are properly maintained and optimized for peak performance. Recommend and implement upgrades or new equipment and tooling as needed. Implement equipment and complete equipment validations. New Product Development (NPD): Collaborate with the NPD team to ensure assembly processes are integrated into product designs. Develop assembly processes and equipment for new products from concept through to production qualification. Conduct feasibility studies and pilot runs to validate new equipment and assembly processes. Create Manufacturing Plans and other related process documentation. Study specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and confers with engineering and shop personnel to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements, manufacturing procedures, cost, etc. Product Transfer: Lead the transfer of inbound product assembly processes, ensuring they are duplicated accurately and efficiently. Identify gaps, and implement improvements, to enhance process efficiency and product quality during transfers. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve issues in the assembly process to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Work hands-on to both manufacture and evaluate feasibility of prototypes. Project Management: Manage assembly process sub-aspects of overall projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, quality assurance and project management to ensure seamless project execution. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all assembly processes comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the assembly team. Training and Development: Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on assembly processes, equipment, and tooling best practices. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in assembly processes. Work in a Regulated Environment Work in an ISO 13485 environment with mixed commercial and Class 1 products. Adhere to company SOPs including Design & Development and Engineering, Quality, and Change Management. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Minimum requirement is a BS degree in related mechanical field such as Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering Experience and Skills: Required: 5-8 years of relevant work experience in mechanical product development and manufacturing. Experience in production with semi-automated equipment, fixtures, custom tooling, gauges and fixturing. Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to understand product design intent and function. Can read and create mechanical component and assembly engineering drawings. ASME Y14.5 GD&T literate. CAD software literate for design and drawings. Demonstrated ability with processes, tools, jigs, fixtures, and machines to: Conceptualize. Select and design. Document. Test. Implement. Validate. Knowledge of manufacturing processes used to create tools, fixtures, and machines. Can turn complex design concepts and ideas into solid models, working drawings/documents, and prototypes. Experience with rapid prototyping to test concepts and/or implement solutions. Can work under design and development controls. Experienced with PFMEA / DFMEA. Capable of performing complex analyses. Can perform tolerance stack analyses. Ability to come up with creative solutions to solve technical issues. Experience using continuous improvement methodologies. Experience leading the design and development of new equipment and processes. Ability to work with cross functional teams and lead projects and sub-tasks. Proactive member with open communication. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and help distill ambiguities into clear actions. Fluent in Spanish and English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with people at different levels of the organization. Ability to rationalize conclusions and recommendations. Must have experience in GD&T. Preferred: Use of Process Excellence Tools / Lean -Six Sigma certification Experience leading multiple coordinated projects with many team members across information technology, quality, maintenance, and operations groups. Proficient in CREO, Solid Works, AutoCAD or equivalent Other: Able to travel up to 10% of domestic and international travel.
