Aviation Maintenance Technician Role Overview Job Summary: This position is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of aircraft and articles in accordance with company policies and procedures. The successful candidate will ensure that all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and maintain a clean and professional work area. Responsibilities: • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures and regulations. • Verify the correctness of part numbers and serial numbers on installed or removed components. • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation meets regulatory requirements. • Actively participate in the continuous improvement phase of the Safety Management System (SMS) and familiarize yourself with SMS policies, processes, and procedures. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Correct compliance or safety issues as directed by senior personnel. • Advise pilots of any maintenance issues affecting flight readiness. • Validate data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft you are working on. Additional Job Requirements: • Provide timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary. • Regular scheduled attendance is required. • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 25-50%. • Periodic travel in support of operations and company objectives may be expected. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following qualifications. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 to 5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred, active/current A&P license REQUIRED. • FAR 135 operations preferred.
