What You Will Be Doing • Provide hands-on supervision and direction to contract lease crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant work practices across all assigned field activities. • Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of materials, parts, and supplies necessary for ongoing maintenance, repairs, and facility upgrades. • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of production facilities to ensure equipment is operating at peak efficiency and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. • Collaborate closely with pumpers and operators to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and operational issues affecting production equipment and systems. • Support preventative maintenance programs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at optimizing facility performance and reducing downtime. Your Skills And Qualifications • Proven hands-on experience repairing and maintaining production equipment components, including dump valves, level controllers, back pressure valves, and other mechanical control devices. • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational training, trade certification, or mechanical qualifications are strongly preferred. • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of field maintenance and operations. • Demonstrated experience supervising field crews or contract lease operators, including task delegation and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. • Strong working knowledge of oilfield safety regulations, hazard identification, and safe work practices; committed to maintaining a safety-first mindset in all tasks. • Advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex mechanical issues quickly and effectively. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, supervisors, and external contractors. • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in dynamic and sometimes remote environments. • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Physically capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs and performing hands-on tasks in outdoor field conditions. We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Maintenance Mechanic to oversee daily maintenance operations, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure the mechanical reliability of our plant and facility equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety. LOCATION: Pecos, TX Responsibilities 1. Collaborate with the Plant Manager to maintain production schedules and quality standards. 2. Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance, production, and common areas. 3. Maintain documentation and reports as required for audits, safety, and performance tracking. 4. Oversee all plant equipment to ensure proactive maintenance planning, including routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical issues to enable maximum productivity. 5. Perform mechanical repairs on Raymond mill(s), pneumatic conveying system, jaw crusher, belt conveyors, motors, valves, and other plant equipment to minimize downtime. 6. Monitor and maintain proper functioning of equipment such as conveyors, mixers, and control panels, addressing operational issues as they arise. 7. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or other Company management. Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree in mechanical repair or other relevant field is a plus. • At least five (5) years of prior relevant maintenance-related work experience; prior work experience involving mill maintenance would be highly advantageous. • Prior experience working in an MHSA-regulated environment is a plus. • Crane operator certification and work experience is essential. • Prior welding work experience is required. • Forklift operation certification and work experience is essential. • Valid driver’s license and the maintenance of a driving record satisfactory to the Company. Requirements: 1. High School Diploma or GED required; Technical or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2. 5+ years of relevant maintenance or plant operations experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred. 3. Welding, fabrication, crane, and forklift operation experience required. 4. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. 5. MSHA certification and experience in an ISO or Quality Management System environment are highly desirable. 6. First Aid and CPR certification required (or ability to obtain). 7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities • Thorough knowledge of mechanical power transmissions, crushers, conveyor belts, Raymond mills, front-end loaders, forklifts, bagging machines, and basic fabrication concepts. • Ability to operate, maintain, rebuild, and troubleshoot plant equipment used by the Company and to utilize power and manual tools required for the position. • Knowledge of mechanical equipment design and general maintenance techniques. • Superior trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences. • Highly self-motivated and directed. • Willingness and aptitude to learn unfamiliar mechanical equipment, tools, and machinery, and to stay informed of new technologies.
