Lead Mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities • Works safely and adheres to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures • Possesses advanced knowledge of Production Operations and all associated equipment • Maintains all company provided tools and equipment (cell phone, vehicle, computer, etc.) • Performs routine preventive maintenance on rotating equipment (PM's, calibrations, etc.) • Demonstrates efficient computer skills; data entry into various electronic databases • Mentor to PM Mechanic (where applicable) and Mechanic I • Diagnose / troubleshoot and repair complex issues associated with any rotating equipment • Supervise contractor services with Production Foreman approval • Conduct regulatory (state, federal, and local) testing and reporting as directed by Foreman • Repairs complex problems without supervision (major overhaul, main line units, etc.) • Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to stationary production machinery and to heavy equipment machinery • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices • Perform all maintenance operations in accordance with technical specifications and safety regulations • Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records (with Foreman approval) • Develop and maintain operating / maintenance manuals and procedures • Create work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information • Input daily repair information in maintenance database • Perform other various tasks as assigned by the Foreman Skills & Specifications • Ability to work with a diverse team to achieve production and cost targets • Has integrity, communicates effectively, and maintains a positive attitude • Strong work ethic • Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-pressure production environment • Has proficient computer skills with various electronic databases • Maintains good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility • Possess a working knowledge of process equipment, separation, flow, etc. • Demonstrate vast mechanical knowledge of all aspects of industry craft Education & Qualifications • Experienced compression mechanic required • 10 years of experience preferred • Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus (may be required in some locations) • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program • Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred • Must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation • Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities preferred • Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs • Capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment

Diesel Mechanic - SW Division, Andrews, TX Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic Job Description Responsible for a variety of activities associated with servicing, repairing, and maintaining pieces of heavy equipment in a shop setting, as well as, in the field requiring travel. The traveling will be within, but not limited to a 1,000-miles of Andrews, TX. The work is performed through the application of certifications, education, experience and skill which denote expertise in heavy equipment maintenance. The position requires exceptional organizational skills in both the mechanical and the documentation aspects of the business. Mechanics will be required to work in a safe environment and keep area clear of hazards. Our heavy equipment mechanics perform fueling, lubing, servicing, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment including but not limited to dozers, excavators, loaders, compactors, graders, scrapers, forklifts, rock crushers, off road haul trucks, articulated haul trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, fuel trucks, service trucks, boom trucks, belly dump trailers, side dump trailers, pups, semi-tractors, and low boy trailers. Must possess an extensive knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo, Case, Hitachi, JCI, El Jay, Hamm, Ingersoll-Rand, Payhauler, Gallion, Wirtgen, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Mack, International, Kenworth, Aspen, Trail King, and Great Dane manufacturer’s. Performs routine maintenance checks and adjustments on such things as fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutches. This includes but is not limited to changing filters, oil, lubricants, gases, and fluids. Performs maintenance and repair on heavy equipment with an emphasis on increasing equipment availability. Diagnose, service and repair various systems that are found on pieces of heavy equipment. This includes but is not limited to fuel injection systems, exhaust /emission control systems, cooling systems, lubricating systems, ignition systems, air conditioning systems, electrical systems, electronic control systems, turbo charger systems, air intake systems, braking systems, transmissions (including conventional, automatic, and hydrostatic), pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems (including hydraulic steering, braking, auxiliary and transmission systems). Diagnose, service and repair various ground engaging systems. This includes but is not limited to tires, hubs, tandem drive axles, tracks, track adjusters, rails, track pads, idlers, undercarriages, suspensions (independent, conventional steel, air ride, heavy duty multi axle, and track suspensions), final drives, clutches, bearings, drive sprockets, cutting edges, and teeth. Fabricates parts and components from raw stock using metal cutting tools, and welding equipment. Tunes gas and diesel engines, services valves, fuel filters, and turbo chargers. Pressure checks fuel filters, adjusts injectors, fuel racks, and governors. Steering and suspension: Repairs or replaces tie rods, ball joints, gear boxes, shock absorbers, springs, steering linkages, kingpins, power steering, hoses, pumps, walking beam suspensions, and air suspensions.
