Mechanic

SUMMARY The Mechanic will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of engines and diesel engines used to power our fleet trucks, tractor trailers and tankers using hand tools, and machine tools. Our fleet is multi-brand and multi-year. DOT compliance knowledge is a must in keeping our fleet safely on the road. Work is performed in both office and shop settings so exposure to dust, dirt and common mechanical and shop chemicals can be expected; must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend, twist and lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Performs annual inspections on trucks, trailers, and pickups • Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services • Performs inspections, diagnostics and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment • Perform all DOT inspections to ensure fleet is in safe and road worthy condition • Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs • Estimates time on vehicle repairs and completes requisitions for new parts • Performs all work within Standard Repair Times • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns • Conducts safety checks on vehicles, removing unsafe vehicles from service • Completes required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times, DOT reporting, etc. • Reviews, completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintains a clean, safe work area, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures • Other duties and tasks as assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Minimum two years of relevant work experience • Clean driving record, no DUIs in the last 5 years • Must be at least 18 years of age • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations • Must be self-motivated and customer service-oriented while being an effective team player • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment COMPUTER • Basic knowledge of MS Office preferred PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings. Business Development Manager - Mechanical

Business Development Manager - Mechanical POSITION SUMMARY Assist with obtaining new work for Brandt by establishing and maintaining effective contact with new and existing accounts and potential buyers of mechanical or electrical construction services. Additionally, oversee day-to-day marketing efforts for a designated regional market. What you’ll do: • Create positive working relationships and maintain regular contact with assigned accounts. Reinforce Brandt’s reputation as a premier provider and valuable partner for mechanical and electrical services. • Participate in facilitating the ongoing development of the group’s business plan and budget, including methods, contact personnel and short and long-term goals regarding new work contract negotiations and future work potential. Ensure consistency with Brandt’s overall business plan and market strategy. • Meet with new and existing client management, staff, and supervisory personnel. Create high quality presentations that explain Brandt’s character, policies, skills, resources, and capabilities. • Determine client needs and evaluate company resources and capabilities in light of those needs. • Participate in local marketing related organizations (SMPS, etc.) • Lead the local staff in the development of marketing skills and client relationship development. • Work closely with the Director of MEP Construction to coordinate RFP responses and associated follow-up interviews. • Notify supervisor of sales activities and approximate timing of proposal and bid submittals. • Identify new work leads and manage follow-up, recordkeeping, and information distribution. In doing so, effectively pre-screen opportunities to assist in the go/no-go decision process. • Participate in regular in-house planning sessions. • Promote Brandt’s MEP Construction group where practical. Understand the capabilities and business model of the mechanical and electrical group to funnel good opportunities to their leadership. Communicate potential opportunities to the appropriate person promptly. • Perform additional assignments as requested/needed. Lead Mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities • Works safely and adheres to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures • Possesses advanced knowledge of Production Operations and all associated equipment • Maintains all company provided tools and equipment (cell phone, vehicle, computer, etc.) • Performs routine preventive maintenance on rotating equipment (PM's, calibrations, etc.) • Demonstrates efficient computer skills; data entry into various electronic databases • Mentor to PM Mechanic (where applicable) and Mechanic I • Diagnose / troubleshoot and repair complex issues associated with any rotating equipment • Supervise contractor services with Production Foreman approval • Conduct regulatory (state, federal, and local) testing and reporting as directed by Foreman • Repairs complex problems without supervision (major overhaul, main line units, etc.) • Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to stationary production machinery and to heavy equipment machinery • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices • Perform all maintenance operations in accordance with technical specifications and safety regulations • Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records (with Foreman approval) • Develop and maintain operating / maintenance manuals and procedures • Create work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information • Input daily repair information in maintenance database • Perform other various tasks as assigned by the Foreman Skills & Specifications • Ability to work with a diverse team to achieve production and cost targets • Has integrity, communicates effectively, and maintains a positive attitude • Strong work ethic • Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-pressure production environment • Has proficient computer skills with various electronic databases • Maintains good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility • Possess a working knowledge of process equipment, separation, flow, etc. • Demonstrate vast mechanical knowledge of all aspects of industry craft Education & Qualifications • Experienced compression mechanic required • 10 years of experience preferred • Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus (may be required in some locations) • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program • Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred • Must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation • Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities preferred • Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs • Capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
