Maintenance Engineer Technician Position Summary As a Maintenance Engineer Technician at Regal Rexnord, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Engineer Technician will handle preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support our production team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Shift: Monday - Friday Compensation Range: $25 - $35/hour The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons. Key Responsibilities • Work safely, respecting the environmental health safety guidelines • Carry out corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, in addition to making and set up, and adjustments. • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. • Assist in maintaining the building, such as changing light bulbs, basic welding, carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc. • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). • Identify parts for replacement in machinery and equipment based on the equipment manual and/or parts identification information. • Provide technical support to production staff resolving equipment-related issues. • Effectively communicate and relay information to management and operators both in person and via e-mail. • Prioritize tasks daily with guidance from Maintenance Supervisor or Production Manager. • Responsible for maintaining inventory and condition of provided tools. • Adhere to Regal Rexnord 6s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) program. • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc. • Install compressed air, gas, steam, condensate, water, and sewer piping. • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment that could include lubrication, replacement of disposable and worn parts, alignment checks, adjustments, and diagnostics. • Maintain and repair the building, such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc. • Assist supervisors and engineers in the specification and selection of replacement parts, needed tools, and equipment. • Communicate internally with contacts outside the work group to resolve issues and/or collaborate on work procedures, including team projects and kaizens. • Communicate with external contacts by telephone, writing, or in person for ongoing service, diagnosing issues, and acquiring information on ordering parts by providing detailed information concerning equipment repairs, issues, or questions. • Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies, 5s procedures, and in line with company core values. • Other duties as assigned. Experience and Skill Required • Associate’s or Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, & Industrial related fields. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment. • Experience in diagnosis and repair of electromechanical and pneumatic systems. • Experience in the use of hand and power tools (provided by company). • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting aptitude. • Willingness and ability to learn and understand the operation of process specific equipment. • Willingness to adapt promptly to sudden changes in work priorities. • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Ability to become proficient in using the CMMS (accurate recording keeping, equipment history, preventative maintenance, and downtime). • Ability to perform work at heights at or above four feet. • Ability to carry out assigned tasks independently. • Capable and experienced operating equipment such as forklifts and platform lifts. • Effectively communicate and work in a team environment. • Accurately read and comprehend moderately complex and technical material (instruction manuals, procedural manuals, warning labels, electrical prints, blueprints, charts, technical repair manuals). • Ability to write and record basic information (record maintenance activities, completing forms, creating procedures, etc.) • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. • Overtime may be required on occasion to meet production demands. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience Preferred • Licensing or certifications for plumbing, HVAC, or refrigeration • Basic welding/fabrication skills • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits • Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic skills such as, or comparable to: add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions and decimals. • Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of measuring equipment. • Knowledge of and ability to complete welding repairs and fabrication is a bonus. • Knowledge of and ability to use tools or special devices to work, guide, or move objects or materials.
