Your Role as a Field Service Technician You'll be at the forefront of ensuring equipment runs efficiently in big-box retail environments. Asst Mechanic

Position Title: Equipment Technician FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Grounds/ Golf Maintenance Reports to: Head Mechanic, Superintendent, or other Department Manager or Director General Purpose: The Equipment Technician performs a variety of mechanical repairs, routine maintenance tasks, and equipment servicing for motorized equipment used throughout the property. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Overhauls and repairs maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power equipment. • Lubricates and services all equipment. • Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies and performs routine adjustments. • Maintains current knowledge of hydraulic systems and their components. • Inspects, changes, and repairs tires. • Assists in managing tool access and use by maintenance staff. • Cleans work areas after completing repairs. • Supports fabrication, body repair, and painting projects. • Adjusts cutting units on mowing equipment. • May assist the maintenance crew or operate mowing equipment when not performing mechanical work. • Assists in training maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of golf course equipment. • May be required to operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment. • Follows all established safety protocols and promotes a safe work environment. • Maintains regular and reliable attendance. • Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Certificate from a college or technical school preferred. Three to six months of related mechanical experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands: • Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, and reaches with arms. • Frequently stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. • Occasionally sits, climbs, or balances. • Regularly communicates verbally. • Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds; occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds. Working Conditions: • Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather-related), extreme temperatures, and around toxic or caustic materials. • May be exposed to vibration, airborne particles, or fumes. • Works regularly in outdoor weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts. • May face the risk of electrical shock. • Noise level is generally loud. Licenses and Certifications: • Valid Driver’s License required. • Mechanics Certificate from a Gas and Diesel Engine Training Seminar preferred. POSITION SUMMARY The Process Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a designated department or project to support business plan and strategic initiatives. The role has primarily responsibility for evaluating equipment and manufacturing processes to determine strategies and modifications which provide improved quality, productivity, and efficiency. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Equipment Analysis - Analyze equipment and process conditions to ensure optimum utilization of machines and equipment in the production of quality industrial fabrics. • Provide technical leadership and expertise for process and quality teams in troubleshooting process, equipment and/or product quality, to achieve objectives. • Works cross-functionally between production, engineering, and product development to reduce defects, improve product flow through the facility, and support new product launches. • Provide support to Quality Control, Product Development, and Customer Service on quality issues, source inspections and NSF audits as needed. • Project Management – Develop and coordinate project plans, review vendor proposals, manage project team activities, communicate changes, provide progress updates, and complete projects on time and within budget. • Actively support Lean Sigma using lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies for the development of new or improved techniques, systems, processes or methodologies to improve productivity and reduce waste. • Monitor assigned operations to assure compliance with approved methods and standards. • Write specifications and monitor and assist with shop floor drawings and other related technical activities. • Work with Maintenance department on equipment repairs, modifications, installations, and startup. • Work with PLC systems and software to control and monitor production equipment, work with vendor on software setup. • Develop opportunities to reduce scrap/waste and find outlets that will purchase scrap/waste. • Provide off-shift coverage on low yield products and R&D trials as needed. • Support safety programs and initiatives to ensure safe work environment and promote safe practices in alignment with company policies and procedures. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering with a minimum of 1-5 years related experience. Prefer mechanical, chemical or electrical background, Lean Manufacturing, and functional experience with PLC and AutoCAD.
