Mechanical Design Engineer

What You'll Do As a design engineer, the candidate will be responsible for developing high quality, detailed design packages, providing engineering procurement and field technical support to implement those designs, and providing expertise for troubleshooting and technical assessments of plant systems. Design involves the preparation of conceptual engineering deliverables such as cost-estimating bills of material and man-hour estimates, statements of work, design criteria, and title II engineering deliverables including preparation of calculations and analyses, construction specifications & drawings, and equipment specifications. Candidate must effectively and cooperatively work as a team member of an integrated project team, or as a technical lead for a multi-discipline task and will routinely provide input to system engineers and other plant customers. Design engineer will routinely perform walkdowns in the existing plant facilities in order to generate design documents and provide field support to craft personnel. The mechanical piping/HVAC engineer shall be responsible for interpreting, organizing, and executing assignments and engineering design for process piping, utility piping systems, HEPA filtration, exhaust systems, dehumidification, and air conditioning in support of nuclear and non-nuclear projects at Pantex. A strong candidate for the piping/HVAC Engineer position should have experience with design in systems such as potable water and fire-protection supply systems, gases, acid and caustic fluids, brines, cryogenics, steam and condensate, hot and chilled water systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and vacuum systems as well as design of duct systems, ventilation/exhaust systems, and the basic installation of mechanical HVAC equipment. Additional experience in performing computer hydraulic (steady-state and transient) analysis, computer pipe stress analysis, and support selection/design is desired. DOE O 426.2) Preferred Job Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program in the United States or designated equivalents from Canada or Mexico, the Washington Accord, or the list of substantially equivalent as documented by ABET • A Professional Engineering License (PE) is preferred • Knowledgeable in respective technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques • Demonstrated technical capabilities, leadership, and work ethic • Ability to work in a project team environment and communicate well with other disciplines, customers, and stakeholders • Ability to follow procedures and work within a rigorous work process • Ability to estimate, plan, and track progress for preparation of discipline deliverables • Good written and oral communications skills • Capable of handling classified information Why Pantex? Mechanical Technician

Description: Looking for an opportunity to work with heavy duty diesel trucks, trailers, and buses in a growing company? Consider a career as a Mechanical Technician with LubeZone, Inc., a national provider of on-highway lubrication and preventative maintenance services for the trucking industry. We are looking for people who want to get their hands dirty! Mechanical Technicians are responsible for all Mechanical and Repair operations conducted on his/her assigned shift for LubeZone customers. Must be experienced with tractor trailer PM's as well as Diesel/ Trailer mechanic repair work on Tractor-Trailers. Work will include: • Service trucks, trailers and buses with mechanical, lubrication, preventive maintenance, inspections and oil change services needed. • Maintain the shop area, including bays, equipment and tools to provide a safe and clean work environment • Assist with directing vehicles in/out of servicing bays and ensure use of chock blocks. • Ensure oil and grease procedures are conducted safely and properly in accordance with the flow charts specific to each service. • Present customers with our sales processes through an informative sales approach which includes informing the customer of all items whether in need of additional service or not. (CTO and CCO). Provide proper quotes. • Make sure that the oil dipstick has been verified before directing any customer to start their vehicle. • Properly complete all work order entries during and at the end of each service. • Ensure 100% accurate completion of fleet services specific to each company’s fleet procedure. • Assist with customer concerns and customer service issues for both owner operators and fleet business. • Report safety incidents/accidents to Store Management. • Conduct preventive maintenance on store equipment. • Make sure shelves are properly stocked. • Make sure all cores and used parts are disposed of properly. • During slow times will assist with work on Lube Services. • Complete any additional job duties assigned by the management staff. Requirements: DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: • Must Have: 2+ years’ experience with semi-tractor oil, lubrication, and tire requirements. • Displayed evidence of good mechanical skills and judgment. • Ability to work un-supervised. Project Manager 2 - Mechanical

POSITION SUMMARY Provide overall management direction on one or more mechanical projects (up to $10 million) and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients, particular industry or geographical area. What you’ll do: • Assume primary leadership responsibilities for each assigned project in partnership with the designated project superintendent. • Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Plan, organize and staff key project positions through regional department heads, subordinate project managers, general superintendents, etc. • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Brandt’s corporate policy. • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts to coordinate scheduling activities and facilitate successful construction activities. • Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontracts. • Monitor/control project development through administrative direction of on-site project superintendent. Prepare, issue and update master project schedule and variance reports to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget. • Manage all financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings, and collections) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow while simultaneously maintaining a good relationship with the client. • Manage risks. Investigate potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as required. • Actively pursue additional work through change orders. • Ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and Brandt standards. • Attend job progress meetings as required. Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, general contractors and subcontractors. • Supervise/mentor the work of other project managers or assistant project managers, when assigned. • Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
