In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity of our fixed equipment assets and providing technical support to site personnel and impacted groups. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 5 years experience in the refining/petrochemical industry or other related heavy industry. Experience applying ASME, NBIC, API 510, API 570, API 653, and other applicable codes and standards is preferred. Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical support for pressure vessel, boiler, and piping design, fabrication testing, and inspection. • Develop focused reliability-improvement programs that highlight bad actors and identify long-term investment needs. • Perform Life Cycle Cost Analyses to support budget forecasting. • Review and specify permanent and temporary repairs, calculation of renewal thicknesses, and assessment of remaining life for fixed equipment assets. • Provide site subject matter expertise in fixed equipment repairs and alterations and Relief Valve Inspection/Testing. • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Maintenance, and Project Teams to purchase and/or install required vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. • Minimum 5 years experience in the refining/petrochemical industry or other related heavy industry, with 5 years experience in fixed and/or pressure equipment. Preferred Requirements: • Experience applying ASME, NBIC, API 510, API 570, API 653, and other applicable codes and standards in the design, evaluation, repair/alterations of fixed equipment. • Experience performing and/or reviewing API 579 Fitness for Service assessments for fixed equipment. • Experience maintaining Bolted Flanged Joint programs, including the development of tightening procedures and specifications for outages or for in-service activities. • Experience with GE Digitals Asset Performance Management (APM) and/or SAP.
