Job Title: Electro-Mechanic A Ocean Spray is now hiring at the Markham Processing Plant. The plant sits on 17 Acres and is 200,000 square feet and produces Sweetened Dried Cranberries (Craisins). The Electro-Mechanic A position is a 12-hour shift from 4pm-4am with rotating weekends off, 36/48 hr. schedule, with a starting pay rate of $35.05. This position is a year-round position, working indoors with five 20-minute paid breaks. Position Overview: Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. - Markham is a processing facility and receiving station. Product type(s) include: SDC’s, Fresh Fruit, Cranberry Receiving. The Maintenance Electro-Mechanic A position is expected to possess skills and abilities to become an Electro-Mechanic or Master Mechanic within two (2) years of hire. Must be able to work without supervision and may be required to work alone. Must have the skills, ability and knowledge to maintain, install, rebuild and repairs all plant equipment and must gain the capabilities and knowledge to run plant equipment that is being worked on. Must have fundamental troubleshooting & replacement of electrical components, controls and automation. May not replace VFD's or motors that are greater than 25 HP without prior communication with the Maintenance Supervisor and further consultation/ review by the Maintenance Supervisor and licensed Electrician. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Maintains, installs, rebuilds, and repairs any and all plant equipment • Make general repairs on building and supporting systems • Use hand tools and power tools to repair/replace faulty equipment • Diagnose electrical issues using multi-meter, other defined tools and equipment manuals and replace electrical components that are similar to each other during a failure • Uses and reads manuals, blueprints and schematics to diagnose equipment problems • Accurately pull information and input data into CMMS system • Basic boiler maintenance and ammonia systems • Fabricates parts using proper machining equipment • Weld broken equipment and tools • Perform 5S and practice good housekeeping • Assist other maintenance personnel with duties as needed • Perform other duties as assigned by management personnel Our Purpose: Whatever your title, whatever your role – it all comes back to this: we’re a farmer-owned cooperative where everyone rolls up their sleeves to get the job done.
