Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Job Type: Tenure-Track – Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Compensation: $75,936.; 9-month contract paid over 12 months, benefits eligible Closing Date: Feb. 1, 2026 The Mechanical Engineering Department within the Hal and Inge Marcus School of Engineering (HIMSE) at Saint Martin’s University seeks candidates to fill a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Particular areas of interest include: Robotics, machine learning / AI, aerospace, and biomechanics. However, exceptional applicants in all areas relevant to Mechanical Engineering will be considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. Candidates will mentor students at all levels, initiate and sustain a vigorous funded research program, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession. The successful candidate will be capable of engaging with a variety of industry and government sponsors and partners.
