Mechanical Engineering Assist Prof.

Job Type: Tenure-Track – Assistant Professor Compensation: $75,936.; 9-month contract paid over 12 months, benefits eligible Closing Date: Open Until Filled Location: Saint Martin’s University, Lacey, WA The Mechanical Engineering department at the Saint Martin’s University School of Engineering seeks highly qualified candidates to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor full-time faculty position. Exceptional applicants in all areas relevant to Mechanical Engineering will be considered. Particular areas of interest include: aerospace, biomechanics, robotics, and machine learning / AI. The Mechanical Engineering department is committed to building a culturally inclusive educational environment. We are seeking faculty who can teach in these and other areas while contributing to the excellence in our programs and courses through their research, teaching, and service. The Mechanical Engineering Department in the Hal and Inge Marcus School of Engineering at Saint Martin’s has a long tradition of excellence in teaching. The Department is responsible for the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, the Master of Engineering Management, and the undergraduate minor in Electrical Engineering, as well as new programs that are in development. A doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering is required at the start date, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred. Prior industrial experience is strongly preferred. Full consideration will be given to applications received by June 6, 2025. Mechanical Engineering Adjunct Professor

Salary: $1333 or $1500 per credit, depending on level of graduate degree The Department of Mechanical Engineering has a current need for adjunct faculty to teach various engineering courses, including lower division, upper division, and graduate engineering courses. Teaching assignments may include lecture courses or lab courses. Evening and weekday teaching are available.
