Maintenance Mechanical Technician Job Duties: Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on CNC machines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Required Skills Associate Degree in relevant field. Demonstrate strong understanding of the maintenance and repair of complex hydraulic systems Demonstrate strong understanding of electronic devices including microprocessors, computers, PLC's, variable frequency drives, etc. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems. Experience with Induction Furnaces, vibratory conveyors, shot blast equipment preferred. CNC Machining, Robotics and RS 500 /5000 Logic. Completion of a technical training/apprentice program and minimum Five (5) years Industrial Maintenance experience preferred Ability to read electrical prints and troubleshoot. Experience with foundry equipment, paint and machine shop equipment is desired. Must have experience working with 120 and 480 voltage. Specific knowledge and experience with PLC's, LadderLogic, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical distribution, piping and welding is required. Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, equipment installation, and repair and troubleshooting of large automated systems. Position requires incumbents to spend significant time on their feet and walking (10 or more hours per day) Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted Ability to work from elevated heights Ability to work in confined space areas Occasional bending, twisting, squatting and stooping to troubleshoot and repair equipment Must be available to work multiple shifts.
