Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic This is a key member of our team responsible for the maintenance and repair of facilities and production equipment. • Install, perform preventative maintenance routines, troubleshoot, and effect repairs to facilities and production equipment. • Assume responsibility for maintenance and repair of machinery as well as assist in troubleshooting equipment for production. • Troubleshoot and repair Facility electrical, mechanical, plumbing & utilities. • Rig, move & set-up production & production support equipment, to include power, air & oil as required. • Monthly check & document inspections to all facility emergency lights, exit lights, ladders & forklift batteries, effecting repairs as necessary. • Initiates requests for replacement spare parts. • Inspects Hazardous Waste Cabinet, checks containers for proper labeling and leaks. • Assists in the Manifesting & shipment and ensuring compliance with EPA & DEC regulations. • Design, fabrication, and welding of parts to support manufacturing, to include welding repairs to equipment. • Additional duties to include but not limited to light carpentry, plumbing, grounds maintenance such as snow removal. Key Responsibilities: • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, abiding by company rules and safety regulations. • Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. • Must possess skills/knowledge of Industrial Electrician to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and schematics to install, troubleshoot, conduct preventative maintenance and perform repairs to facilities and production equipment up to 480 Volts, 3-Phase. • Skill with pneumatic systems, basic plumbing & pipe fitting, carpentry, and painting. • Must demonstrate safe working habits, the ability to follow directions, and work with minimal supervision. • Knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools. • Proficient and well-rounded technical capacity. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with work-order systems, preferably web-based systems. • Ability to become forklift certified. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering plus 4 years relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 2 years relevant experience. • Experience creating or analyzing moderately complex mechanical designs using CAD systems, preferably PTC Pro-E or CREO. • Ability to solve technical design and development problems requiring professional engineering knowledge. • Effective communication skills (verbal and written). • Knowledge of finite element analysis tools and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Ability to conduct root cause and impact analysis.
