Mechanic's Assistant

Job Title: Mechanic’s Helper Location: Kenneth McDaniel Road Service LLC, Fort Payne, Alabama Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and motivated Mechanic’s Helper to join our team. As a Mechanic’s Helper, you will assist experienced mechanics with vehicle repairs, maintenance, and other tasks. This is a great opportunity to learn valuable skills in the vehicle industry. Additional responsibilities include all aspects of maintenance requirements of commercial vehicles and a familiarity with federal and state regulations governing them, diagnosis and repair of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and A/C diagnosis and repair. Electronic engine controls and computer-based diagnostics. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: • Experience in mobile equipment and trailer maintenance • Knowledge of electronic diesel engines • Basic computer skills • Hold a Class A CDL driver's license or obtain within the first year. • Basic hand tools.
