As a key member of our Infrastructure and Services Group, your contributions will include: • Designing and developing HVAC and plumbing systems, focusing on master planning, feasibility studies, and mechanical systems like co-generation while integrating sustainability principles and compliance with client requirements. • Reviewing draft designs for adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and ensuring compliance with company policies. • Conducting site reviews and studies to align designs with location specifications and adjust design requirements as necessary. • Enhancing the firm's Technical Knowledge Management through the development of white papers and technical design documentation, and contributing to technical journals. • Participating in industry conferences and symposia to boost the firm’s visibility, while collaborating with sales teams to maximize outreach. • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and supervising project work when necessary. • Undertaking additional responsibilities as required. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in jurisdictions where EIT is unavailable (must be completed within 18 months of hire, promotion, or transfer). • 5 years of relevant experience. • Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. • Domestic and/or international travel may be necessary, depending on specific responsibilities and project demands. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working on large, complex projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers. • Prior experience utilizing Autodesk Revit for creating detailed mechanical drawings. • Knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and sustainable design practices. • Experience in high-performance building design targeting energy, water, and carbon reduction.
