Currently we are hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join us in Hillsboro, Oregon Duties and Responsibilities • Ensures availability, reliability, and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems (e.g., oilfree air systems, HVAC systems, chilled water plant, boilers, environmental abatement systems, and environmental compliance exhaust) to support manufacturing, clean room, and research and development activities. Supports daily tactical efforts in safety, reliability, and environmental objectives of facilities mechanical systems. • Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging and troubleshoots mechanical systems systematic issues and provides evaluation, recommendations, and solutions to resolve problems. • Develops engineering scope of work for mechanical projects and provides engineering design review and evaluation of mechanical systems. • Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication, and provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation. • Partners with business unit customers and internal customers to provide engineering solutions in support of their equipment and systems. • Partners with operations and maintenance service providers to ensure mechanical systems are maintained and operated within specified limits. • Develops mechanical systems roadmap and asset replacement strategy to ensure reliability, redundancy, and capacity are available for expansion of existing facilities, renovation, and growth Authority: • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel. • Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of related experience • 2+ years of experience with Large-scale manufacturing/mechanical engineering facility services support and equipment repair • 2+ years of experience with identifying, analyzing, and solving immediate issues with technical equipment. • 2+ years of experience with mechanical (pumps, piping, valves, and other) and control (instrumentation, PCS, and other) systems • Commissioning Mechanical systems such as pumps, boilers, chillers, HVAC units, and compressor, desirable • Operations and maintenance of rotating machinery, desirable • Project Management (planning, coordination, and integration), desirable • Statistical Process Control (FMEA and JMP), desirable • Production environment and/or with other facilities process systems, desirable Benefits • Medical /Vision and Dental Insurance • Matching 401K contributions • Competitive salary

Facilities Maintenance Engineer - LME

Job Summary: Under general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, Chief Engineer, or their designee, and provides continuous mechanical and electrical support service and repairs necessary to effectively maintain the safe operation of Kaiser Permanente facilities. Qualifications • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) or equivalent. • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering or related experience. • Advanced 3D CAD experience (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, PRO-E, etc.). • Strong understanding of GD&T, CNC programming, and machining capabilities. • Experience with ROI analysis, capital equipment selection, and process validation. • Knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485 regulations. • Experience with statistical tools (Minitab, JMP, etc.).
