Parts Specialist Job Description The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities: • Ensure adherence to all company customer service programs. • Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly greeting retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assisting them in their selection of merchandise. • Support managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed. • Complete assigned company training relevant to the position. • Provide excellent phone service to customers by answering calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts and quote prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee. • Responsible for maintaining and securing the cash drawer, accepting cash and/or checks, making accurate change, and processing credit card transactions. • Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures. • Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. • Assist with daily operational tasks such as freight receiving, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc. • Perform various tasks including preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, etc. • Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after corresponding training is completed and company requirements are met. • Perform in-store services for customers (where state and local laws allow) - install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules, etc. • Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate. Key Qualifications: • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills. • Basic math skills. • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). • Good visual acuity and hearing.
