Machine Operator Assistant Job Description As a Machine Operator assistant you will be responsible for assisting the CNC operators in getting product, setting up machinery, and taking parts out of the machines. This includes loading and unloading parts into the machine, initiating the run cycle, and ensuring parts meet quality standards. You will perform hand inspections, deburr edges to smooth out parts, and use calipers and micrometers to confirm correct sizing before stacking the parts in crates. Responsibilities • Inspect each part by hand to ensure quality standards. • Deburr the edges of parts to ensure smoothness. • Use calipers and micrometers to verify correct part sizes. • Stack inspected parts in crates for further processing. Essential Skills • Experience with machine operation and deburring. • Ability to use calipers and micrometers effectively. • Basic machining skills, including mill and lathe operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in inspection using micrometers and calipers. • Mechanically inclined with basic math skills. • Capability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
