Available Shifts • 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (Monday - Friday) • 3rd Shift: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am (Sunday - Friday) Your Role As a CNC Machinist, you will perform precision machining operations to create parts that meet exact specifications. Key Responsibilities • Machine parts to specifications, performing precision machining operations. • Operate various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders. • Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools. • Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts. • Utilize complex technical tools, CAD, and CAM. • Use hand tools as required. • Follow specific processes and procedures as directed. • Ensure work practices adhere to OSHA standards. • Follow all safety standards outlined in policies and procedures. • Perform data entry. What You Need to Succeed • Experience using complex tools, CAD, and CAM. • Degree or Certification in CNC Machining, Right Skills Now for Manufacturing Course, or equivalent work experience. • Experience in Lean Manufacturing. • Ability to machine parts to specifications. • Knowledge and use of gauges, micrometers, Vernier calipers, and charts to measure tolerance. • Ability to accurately and effectively use computer programs for data entry and reporting. • Ability to learn how to use machinery/equipment as needed. • Mechanically inclined. • Strong attendance record. • Ability to work unsupervised. • Detail process-oriented and organized. • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen. Preferred Skills • Knowledge of mechanics. • Extensive experience in CNC Machining. • Understanding of the iron foundry process. • Understanding of a manufacturing facility. Join Our Team! What You’ll Do As a Lead CNC Machinist, you will set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts with tight tolerances. Key Responsibilities • Set Up and Operate Equipment – Safely and efficiently set up and run CNC machines to produce high-precision parts that meet tight tolerance standards. • Train and Support – Mentor CNC operators on machine operation, measurement tools, process improvement, and shop floor best practices. • Perform Quality Checks – Create and inspect first-piece samples, perform in-process inspections, and make adjustments as needed to ensure part accuracy. • Maintain a Clean Work Environment – Keep work areas organized, dry, and free of debris to minimize hazards and maintain safety. • Follow Lean 5S Practices – Implement sorting, organization, cleanliness, standardization, and sustainability practices to improve efficiency and maintain a productive workspace. • Maintain Good Attendance – Follow assigned work schedules and communicate any planned or unplanned absences with the supervisor. Requirements: What We’re Looking For • Industry experience in CNC machining or a similar manufacturing environment • A machining certificate or equivalent hands-on experience • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail • Ability to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and meet tight tolerance requirements • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and support others • Experience with Shop-Trak, Lean 5S, or process improvement is a plus Physical & Mental Demands • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-based environment • Clear communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting • Focus and problem-solving skills to handle multiple priorities and ensure part accuracy Working Conditions • Adhere to attendance requirements as set by the department supervisor. • Work conditions vary between office and production floor environments. • Overtime as required and/or needed to meet production demands.
