Key Responsibilities • Understand our customer’s unique needs and create engine machining solutions to meet those needs • Expertly and safely operate and maintain machine shop equipment Job Tasks and Responsibilities • Actively manage a broad range of jobs and projects from a wide variety of industries including agriculture, high-performance, diesel, vintage/restoration, and other specialties • Create accurate estimates for job requirements and manage resources to ensure work is delivered in a timely manner and as per specifications • Maintain strong communication with customers throughout a project • Perform a wide range of machine shop jobs such as engine rebuilds and machining, reconditioning of blocks, heads, crankshafts, flywheels, drums, rotors, and other parts Requirements • Manual dexterity skills adequate for performing machining and assembly operations • Strong customer service skills and communication skills • Candidates should be mechanically inclined • Lifting of a minimum of 70 pounds on a regular basis • Standing, lifting, twisting, bending, walking and sitting • Some computer knowledge and proficiency PM22

The purpose for an operator at this level is to learn and train on the basic understandings of all Machining specific operations. Operators have the basic level ability to set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machines to produce precision parts with direct supervision by a certified machine operator (level II or above). Follow established standard work under general supervision in efforts to obtain certification within 120 day. Operator follows and complies with established standard work practices under general supervision. The operator will typically refer to problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, supervisors or engineers. Primary Responsibilities: • Set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machines to produce precision parts. • Follow established standard work under general supervision. • Set up and operate precision manual and/or computerized machining centers according to standard work. • Adjust machine feed and speed and change tooling and cutters to machine parts to specification. • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications. • Follow quality testing and inspect parts using precision gauges and measuring instruments and equipment. • Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.
