Performs diversified work in the construction of machined and bench parts. Monitors processes and maintains quality in the construction of products in the area which assignment covers, which involves working with quality control industrial engineers, inspection, and other supervisors. Reports irregularities to supervisor such as parts shortages, defective or unusable parts, or work shortages. Makes out necessary paperwork for scrap parts and materials. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: . Provide training and assistance to departmental employees. . Departmental work may consist of performing basic assembly practices, drilling, tapping, staking, ultrasonic welding, and deburring. . Will be required to setup various NC machines for production operations. . Will be required to perform N/C programming functions on various types of N/C machines. . Required to operate various types of machining equipment (i.e. drill presses, milling machines, numerical milling machines, lathes, etc.) and other machine tools for finishing plastic and metal parts. . May perform a variety of mechanical and hand operations to obtain proper finish of parts to meet all specifications. . Works from computer generated pictures, blueprints, specifications and other written or verbal instructions. . Performs inspection of parts in accordance with quality standards. Uses measuring instruments to check work. . Prepares and maintains necessary departmental paperwork. . Works closely with General Manager and Customer Service in day to day operations of department. . May be required to perform administrative, maintenance, or stock duties. . May be required to perform additional duties as directed. Works closely with customer service personal to meet shipping requirements Assist in managing employees within the department. May be required to perform other tasks as assigned REQUIREMENTS: . Must receive training identified in FRCQP-1800 as applicable. . Must perform job duties in compliance with FRC’s quality system. . Must be able to setup and program various NC machines. . Should be experienced with machines mentioned above. . Must have a good mechanical aptitude, and be able to accurately read and interpret blueprints. . Basic math skills required to interpret drawing specifications and SPC as required.
