JOB SUMMARY The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathe, mill, rotary index table, etc.) • Adjust programs to maintain tolerances and specifications • Inspect machined parts for quality and conformance • Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures • Stage raw materials and monitor machine operations • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions • Assist in loading/unloading machines as needed • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Follow all safety standards and company regulations • Perform other related duties as assigned • Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • HS Diploma/GED. • Forklift experience helpful but not required. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS • Minimum of 2 years of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) experience is preferred. • Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, walk, and reach as well as stand for minimum of 8 hours daily/as scheduled. • Previous experience in manufacturing or mechanical work preferred • Ability to lift 20–70 lbs throughout the shift • Able to work independently and collaboratively • Ideal candidates must be a self-starter, safety-minded, and highly motivated with mechanical knowledge and skill. • Pre-employment background and drug screening required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The job requires frequent physical activity. You will be standing for much of your shift and performing tasks that require fine motor skills, such as detailed assembly, as well as gross motor skills, involving the use of your whole body. You will be lifting, carrying, pushing, and reaching throughout the day. There will also be occasions where you will need to squat, kneel, stoop, pull, and reach above your head. The weight of the objects you handle will typically be moderate. WORKING CONDITIONS This position offers a stable work environment entirely indoors. You will be working frequently with heavy machinery, so some physical strength and dexterity may be necessary. It's important to note that while noise is not constant, there will be occasional periods of loud noise due to the machinery.
