Production Lead / Laser Technician and Machinist

Job Summary Under general supervision, this job consists of; supporting and working in production; engineering by setting up laser processing jobs; and working with laser systems. You will work with engineering and management on developing new laser processes and evaluating and discovering new applications for lasers. We have a strong need for an experienced nimble, finite, micro- tooler and machinist. This is a leadership position for the production team . Starting wage based on all relative and related experience. Full-time, benefitted position. Responsibilities and Duties • Provide leadership and mentor ship to floor production • Provide general support to production • Set-up production laser processes • Machine and tool for laser production process • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment • Store and order tools and tooling • Adhere to all safety policies and wear appropriate protective equipment • Investigate new laser systems and technologies • Integrate lasers with motion control and laser software • Experience with detailed machining and tooling • Develop and record new laser processes and R&D jobs • Maintain and back-up electronic laser machine programs and files • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment • Adhere to all safety policies and wear appropriate protective equipment • Miscellaneous special projects Qualifications and Skills Experience • Machining and tooling design and ability to communicate with engineering for development • Experience with lasers and laser systems • AUTOCAD Knowledge • CNC Programming Knowledge • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook • Leadership experience preferred Skills • Ability to monitor laser system outputs, gather information and perform data analysis • Ability to read and understand a blueprint or CAD drawing • Ability to learn new software • Ability to comprehend and follow document work instructions, standard operating procedures and training documents • Attention to detail and accuracy in paper-work • Strong problem-solving skills • Good communication skills, written and verbal • Good shop/mechanical skills; machining and tooling • Time management skills and ability to multitask • Planning, organizing and prioritizing skills Benefits As a full-time employee you are eligible for company sponsored benefits. About the Role As a Laser Machining Operator at Resonetics Hutchinson, you will play a critical role in the production process, operating and setting up complex test or mechanical equipment to produce high-quality products.
