CNC Machine Programmer

Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled CNC Machine Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC equipment to produce high-quality Signature products utilizing software and tooling. Highlights of Your Role: • Utilize CAM software to develop precise CNC machine programs for complex component machining. • Execute CNC machining of components made from metal, plastic, wood, and composites. • Program and manage macros for CNC Routers, ensuring streamlined operations. • Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to test and support the design of innovative products and processes. • Continuously optimize machining processes on CNC Routers. • Efficiently program orders and templates for production. • Provide training and operational support for CNC Router operators. • Oversee part quality and inspection processes. • Consult with design engineers on part functionality and machining suitability. • Manage inventory of consumable supplies for CNC equipment. • Ensure proper maintenance of all CNC equipment. You're a Great Fit If You Have: • A high school diploma or GED; a 2-year Associate's degree in machining or a related field is preferred. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a prototyping environment with advanced CNC machine tools. • Proficiency in CNC controls and operating programs. • Experience with rapid prototype equipment is a plus. • Solid knowledge of CNC tooling and commonly used tools (e.g., chop saw, table saw, drill press). • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and AutoCAD. • A strong team player attitude with self-motivation, dependability, and trustworthiness. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking capabilities. Additional Qualifications: • A completed certification from an accredited technical school. • 3+ years of experience in CNC programming or AutoCAD programming. • Knowledge of door products is a plus. What You’ll Do As a Fabrication Machine Operator 1, you’ll gain hands-on experience producing parts with precision and efficiency. Key responsibilities include: • Part Fabrication: Operate CNC plasma/oxy fuel cutting, CNC saws, and CNC presses to cut and form steel components based on engineering drawings and shop orders. • Quality Assurance: Monitor, measure, and inspect all parts for accuracy, completing adjustments as needed to meet engineering tolerances. • Machine Operation: Set up machines, calibrate equipment, and adjust speed and parameters to ensure safe and efficient production. • Material Handling: Load materials with forklift, crane, or manual pushing, and move fabricated parts to the proper work areas. • Maintenance & Safety: Perform preventative maintenance, keep equipment and work areas clean, and ensure all operations meet safety standards. • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on routings and drawings, and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. This role would be located full time onsite in our St Cloud facility. You would work second shift, Monday to Thursday 4:00 pm – 2:30 am. CNC Router Operator

Position Summary: This position consists of loading programs on a Biesse CNC and cutting out parts, labeling them, and sorting onto carts. Being aware of tool/bit wear and changing out when necessary for quality upkeep. Logging daily material use for inventory.
