An HVAC/R Technician should have at least one year of education or related experience covering all these areas. They should possess a solid technical foundation that can be developed further to advance into an HVAC/R Technician II or III role. Education and Experience • 2 years of experience in the HVAC/R or Restaurant equipment service fields or 2 years of formal technical training in the HVAC/R, plumbing or electrical career fields. • EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Universal) is required. • Understand and use technical manuals including schematics and wiring diagrams. • Mechanically inclined.
