Service Technician- HVAC

Starting rate is $23.00- $26.00 will increase based on education and experience. We offer comprehensive benefits such as Medical, Vison and Dental. Job Title: Service Technician- HVAC Reports to: Field Operations Manager Job Summary: Responsible for the operation, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and systems necessary for operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks in the heating, air conditioning, ventilating, structural, and equipment systems in Dandy Mini Mart convenience stores and company buildings and equipment. • Must drive to various locations within the Dandy system to address service requirements while using a company provided vehicle. • Ability to communicate with the Field Operations Manager to establish priorities of work assignments. • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs various makes and models of equipment within and outside of store and building locations. • Responsible for learning and using proper repair methods, including the use of specialty tools. • Understand the operating principles of heating, air conditioning, and work safety practices related to all areas of service work. • Ability to communicate with store personnel at a level they understand, and deliver superior service. • Submit accurate work documentation on time. • Serve in a rotating on-call schedule. • Performs all work with attention to all company safety standards and procedures. • Adheres to policies and procedures relative to driving company vehicles. Education and Training Required: • High school diploma required. • Associate's Degree and/or related certificate preferred • HVAC License or certification preferred Experience Requirements: • Two years experience servicing climate, structural and equipment systems in the residential or commercial environment. Special Requirements: • Must possess and maintain a valid and clean driver’s license. • Must possess strong communication skills. • Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions and dealing calmly and successfully with a variety of details. • Must maintain professional appearance and conduct. • May be required to work holidays, weekends, overtime, or during hours other than those, which are considered as the normal work schedule. • Must consistently strive to produce error free work and to meet standards expected of the position. Physical Demands: • Required to bend, reach, kneel, climb and lift up to 120 pounds or more of weight. • Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. • Requires visual acuity and good hearing. • Required to travel every workday.
