Top performing Technicians can earn ++ $120,000 / Year! As a Larry and Sons HVAC Technician, you will install and repair various air quality systems. Your main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services, and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items. You will diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions. Essential Job Functions • Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams • Keep your company truck clean, inside and out • Keep your truck inventory up to date • Properly complete paperwork • Maintain a clean and professional appearance • Have and maintain a clean driving record • Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional • Have or be willing to get the proper certifications. The HVAC Mechanic performs a variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning duties. The HVAC Mechanic maintains, adjusts, overhauls, and repairs the Campus' heating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. The HVAC Mechanic works to ensure proper functioning of the Campus' HVAC systems. The HVAC Mechanic also requires some basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical repairs. Gettysburg College seeks a HVAC Mechanic who have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members. Status: Full-Time Support Staff Hourly rate: $23/hour - negotiable via experience Qualifications HVAC Mechanic Required Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must hold a valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain one. At least 3 years of progressively responsible HVAC and boiler experience. Overtime hours and other shift work may be required such as: snow removal duties, inclement weather emergencies, power outages and some ceremonial campus events. HVAC Mechanic Preferred Qualifications: EPA certification in refrigerant transition and recovery is recommended. Experience with industrial boilers and chemical treatment is favorable.
