Strive is looking for a qualified HVAC installer/technician with previous work experience to perform installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, as well as other products in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications. Experience with duct cleaning is preferred, but not required. Job Duties include but not limited to: • Advanced diagnoses of HVAC systems • Complete full HVAC installs • Replacement/retrofit installs • This includes: · Equipment removal and installation of new duct · Repair/replacement of flex and sheet metal duct systems · Perform installation of copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering · Refrigerant leak detection · Charging, recovering and reclaiming refrigerant · Measuring refrigeration system parameters (gas pressures and temperatures, etc.) · Calculating static and CFM delivery · Carrying out basic plumbing and electrical skills · Carry out wiring of both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment · Ensure connection of gas lines to heating equipment is properly done · Receive all materials and equipment required for each job, confirm and load them into company vehicle Qualifications • Possession of 5+ years HVAC installation experience. • Maryland Journeyman license (preferred but not required). • Possession of High School Diploma or GED or equivalent. • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. • Self-motivated individual with strong ability to follow instructions and work alone, as well as work effectively within a team. • Ability to display professional company image. • Possession of valid driver’s license with good record of driving. • Ability to pass a background check. • Strong ability to write and read in English language. • Ability to lift items weighing up to 100lbs safely. • Strong ability to operate under severe temperature condition of 120 degrees or more for extended periods of time. • Availability to work on weekends, evening hours, and/or to work overtime (this is rare). • Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or/and kneel on a daily basis through the day.
