Responsibilities The Donohoe Companies is looking to add an HVAC/Kitchen Mechanic to our facility team. This person’s focus would be supporting the commercial kitchen and associated areas within the building as a stationary position in Washington, DC. Hours 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday-Friday. Salary $40.00-$46.00 depending on experience. • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair of refrigerant systems and associated equipment • Operate and maintain Preventive Maintenance services for commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, kitchen hoods, commercial dishwashers, walk-in coolers & freezers and subsystems • Conduct routine inspections of all kitchen equipment daily • Perform Refrigerant recovery and recycling • Interface with building managers and other customer representatives with goal of client satisfaction • Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders • Place and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required • Maintain inventory, purchase materials and supplies, as required for timely repair • Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications • 5 years of experience working on commercial HVAC-R • 3 years of experience working on commercial kitchen experience • Certified Food Equipment Service technician preferred • Commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair experience • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, electrical experience, troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics • Universal CFC Certification Required • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor • Self-motivated to work independently and part of a team • Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment EOE, including disability/veterans Equal employment opportunity, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
