Service Electrician

Job Summary • Completes commercial electrical service projects on time and within budget per customer/company specifications and local/national industry standards. • Performs electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical distribution systems, branch circuits, panels, lighting fixtures, control equipment, and transformers. • Works directly with customers in conjunction with supervisor on projects within assigned service territory; maintains positive customer relations to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term customer relations with company. • Interprets construction drawings, diagrams and schematics. • Competent utilization of various tools, ladders and lifts required for electrical installations. • Maintains safe work practices and professional appearance/conduct at all times. • Works from all types of ladders. • Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures. • Operates and maintains company service vehicle. • Travel may be required. Industrial Electrician

IMA out of Shelby, NC is seeking an experienced Commercial / Industrial Electrician to join our growing team! This is a full-time permanent position, our customers are industrial facilities within the Shelby Metro area, we perform new expansions, retrofits and machine installations. The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 3 years working in an Industrial / Commercial setting, Applicant will need to be familiar with running feeders, pulling cable, bending conduit and have experience with NEC codes / guidelines. Location: our customers are within 70-mile radius of Shelby, NC Pay: $25-$30 per hour DOE + Excellent Benefits package! Responsibilities for Industrial Electrician • Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, panels, feeders, transformers and wiring. • Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components. • Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows NEC electrical codes, blueprints, and standards. • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning. • Complete required documentation of repairs and service information. • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components. • Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs. • Runing and bending conduit, sizing all associated wire. Qualifications • 3-5 years of Commercial / Industrial electrical experience. • Valid driver's license in state of practice and no more than two violations within the last 3 years. • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. • Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel. • Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. • Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment. • Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work. • Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems. • Willing to work overtime. • Ability to pass a drug test. • Clean criminal background.
