Job Requirements POSITION SUMMARY Carries out assignments on projects under the leadership of the Facilities Coordinator and Department Head. Oversees any electrical sub-contractor involved in construction projects. Carries a current Electrician License. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Associate Degree or Equivalent Training Required EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Two to Five Years Experience • One Year Supervisory or Lead Man Experience CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS • Electrician License. OTHER REQUIREMENTS PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to make decisions clearly and quickly. • Must be able to withstand many hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting and moving equipment. • Manual dexterity, good eye to hand coordination with adequate vision. • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. • Must be able to work as a team member with peers and other departments. • Must be able to cope with agitated/hostile customers and respond calmly. • Must be able to climb/stand on ladders to work in ceilings. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Electrician

Talascend is currently seeking an Electrician for a contract opportunity with our client in Greer, South Carolina. Overview The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical equipment. Responsibilities • Measure, cut, and bend wired and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools. • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order. • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment. • Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools. • Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required. • Technical degree or certification preferred. • 10+ years experience required. Requirements • Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills. • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time. • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. • Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models. • Ability to use a multi meter. • Ability to use an aerial lift. • Ability to read schematics and understand control circuits. Technician II Electrical

The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for inspection, repair and diagnostic services. You will work on computer systems diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical component replacement. You must have the ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other associates and customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform difficult repairs and work specified repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or OEM standards Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, air conditioning, etc. to specification Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to management and customers Determine needed repair activity and perform repair Perform standard part replacement and capable to complete actions by following the action SMP May be required to lead small groups of other technicians without pay adjustment Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made Work will be performed in a manufacturing facility and can include working on the assembly line Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications/Requirements Maintain current driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays and work overtime when required Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Preferably have experience with OEM Have basic computer knowledge Be team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service Have working knowledge of shop and diagnostic equipment
