Electrician - Rotating Schedules Under the direction of a Maintenance Supervisor, the facility Electrician will perform a complete range of maintenance activities including repair and service of plant equipment. The associate uses considerable independent judgment in making decisions with minimal degree of supervisory involvement. Facility Electricians will follow safety practices while working with preventive and productive maintenance systems to meet team and company goals. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: • Schedule: 12-hour, 2/2/3 rotating schedules with opportunities for overtime • Starting hourly pay of $27.50-$34, based on knowledge and demonstrated skill • Quarterly Incentives • Comprehensive Nestle benefits after 30 days of employment WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH: • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment. • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs and maintenance, able to replace and re-wire electrical motors (single-phase, 3-phase). • Test all assemblies, installations, or repairs on electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and tools such as multimeters to locate the cause of a problem • Troubleshoot control cabinet; replace input-output modules, VFD's and understand/tune PID's; • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electronic components such as: relays, contactors, switches, encoders, proximity sensors, motors, etc. • Demonstrates general understanding of industrial safety practices and regulations, and in particular such topics as: Lock-out/Tag-out procedures, fall protection, personal protective equipment, and all other mandatory safety procedures related to the job • Assist in Developing One Point Lesson (OPL) and Standards Operational Procedures (SOPs) as needed • Keeps machines in good working conditions to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions that could lead to costly repairs or unplanned losses to production • Responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced • Maintain work area, maintenance shop, parts and supplies area cleaned and organized • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required REQUIREMENTS: • Have 5+ years' maintenance professional experience in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment • Understand ladder logic, ability to troubleshoot PLC (a plus) YOU'RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU: • Are a creative problem solver eager to improve technical equipment • Are proactive and detail-oriented • Can read and interpret electrical blueprints • Have a working knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) (i.e. SAP, Allen Bradley strongly recommended) It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
