Here are Your Responsibilities as a Residential Electrician at Mr. Electric As a Residential Service Electrician, you are a key member of our team. Our customers look to your expertise to help solve their issues and build confidence that their home will be safe. Here are the primary responsibilities for this position: • You will help customers with various electrical needs, from installations to repairs. This could range from installing basic fixtures to replacing a home's electrical panel and wiring. Note: Complex troubleshooting is often involved so experience as a residential service electrician is a must! • You are the face of Mr. Electric and will be interacting with the homeowner to deliver the customer service that Mr. Electric is known for. • You ensure the safety of both yourself and the people you serve, leaving their homes safer than when you first walked in. The Electrical & Automation Engineer will lead the design and implementation of electrical, automation, MES and digital systems. This position will contribute to the site maintenance by providing troubleshooting efforts, develop technical documentation and specifications, participate in the procurement process, programming tasks and contribute to all phases in capital projects that require electrical engineering expertise. RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide optimum electrical and process control equipment facilities to meet the established objectives of the business • Ensure reliability of electrical and process control hardware and software operation • Optimize electrical/process control maintenance and operation costs • Optimize electrical/process control hardware and software to maintain plant at high level of efficiency, safety, quality, etc. • Maintain liaisons with other departments, disciplines and facilities to provide necessary support and expertise for the execution of capital investment projects and market and global initiatives. • Work closely with Group Engineering Electrical & Automation team during the planning and execution of projects, initiatives, and compliance requirements. • Comply with all safety and environmental regulations (Internal & External) and applicable Nestle standards. • Manage all technical aspects of the plant’s electrical power distribution from the utility company service entrance down through switchboards, transformers, distribution panels, etc. to all individual loads. • Participate in the electricity and automation engineering efforts to ensure that the design, drawings and specifications meet process requirements, are cost effective, and are in accordance with good engineering practices and Nestle guidelines for all capital projects in the factory. • Participate and validate design of the power distribution system, motor control centers, control panels, human machine interface (HMI), instrumentation, system integration, FAS architecture and commissioning and start up. • Contribute to establish/ write the URS (user requirement specifications) and FDS (functional design specifications) for all projects. • Participate in the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and validate electricity and automation requirements. • Ensure that when working with external engineering services, contractors, suppliers etc. that the scope, deliverables, performance and milestones are clearly detailed and agreed up front. • Ensure that a progress report is prepared for all projects on a monthly basis • Ensure that the project scope is achieved within the agreed cost and timing • Ensure that the operators, mechanics, electricians etc. are effectively trained and that the transfer of the equipment to the client is both smooth and efficient. This includes all the supporting documentation that will be required by the client to operate and maintain the plant. e.g. operating instructions, equipment manuals, plant layouts, maintenance instructions, spare parts listing etc • Complete a final report on all projects and ensure that this is circulated to the key stakeholders • Ensure that design is directed towards a low cost, highly efficient and flexible operation • Participate in Commissioning, Qualification, Validation (CQV) • Contribute to the project close out, including Project Defect Analysis (PDA) • Supervise the Project Electrical Construction and provide revised and additional drawings as requested by the Construction Superintendent and the Project Engineer. REQUIREMENTS • (BA/BS), preferably in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience • Experience with PLC Programming, particularly with Rockwell Automation systems. • Knowledge of process instrumentation, experience with P&IDs and process automation. • Knowledge of medium voltage and electrical power distribution systems. • Knowledge of Combustible Dust environments. • Food and Beverages industry experience desired, but not required. • Experience navigating through electrical codes, particularly NFPA (NEC) and local regulations. • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. • Experience with MS Products such as Office Suite and MS Project. • Experience with AutoCad. • Strong Project Management skills. • Drive to help and assist operations and maintenance personnel on the day-to-day challenges at the factory floor. • Act as a Safety Champion for the site, especially when it comes to all things involving electrical and controls systems. • Contribute to the site’s sustainability efforts by providing solutions for electrical conservation. • SAP experience desired. 343256 #LI-EW1 It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
