The Career Opportunity for you: ESTs will spend their days servicing, repairing, and installing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. Recore is looking for ESTs who can use their technical expertise and individual judgment to resolve customer electrical issues in a highly professional and safe manner. Job Responsibilities: • Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including lighting, climate control, and various power distribution systems. • Work with blueprints when installing electrical systems in industrial and commercial facilities. • Able to indicate on blueprints the location of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, and other equipment. • Install new electrical equipment. • Installing and Bending of EMT and Rigid conduit. • Maintain and repair electrical systems as quickly as possible in order to minimize inconvenience. • Able to replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire. • Perform the installation of various electrical systems per NEC state/local regulations and complete construction documents while maintaining the highest levels of OSHA compliance. • Review specifications, blueprints, and job scope for technical accuracy. • Perform electrical testing and system monitoring, and recommend necessary improvements/repairs. • Maintains good housekeeping, which may include, sweeping the work area with a broom, organizing tools and materials, and keeping surfaces clean. Job Requirements: • 2 years of electrical industrial and/or commercial service experience. • Perform troubleshooting on both analog and digital circuitry. • High degree of skill at analyzing problems and developing solutions. • Safely work on electrical and electronic systems up to 480v. • Operate most electronic test equipment. • Read and analyze schematics. • Skilled in hand and power tools. • Basic knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft programs, and interfaces. • Perform in office and manufacturing environments. • Ability to take direction and work independently. • Ability to work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs. • Ability to walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, and reach overhead to complete certain tasks. As part of the Advanced Materials division, this site produces a liquid acrylic polymer emulsion, which can be identified in end-use products such as latex or coatings applications. What You'll Do: As a Maintenance Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of existing, and installation of new electrical and process control equipment throughout the facility. In this role, you will directly impact the safety and reliability of an operating chemical plant. To accomplish this role, you will interact and consult with other employees like other Maintenance E&I Technicians, Multi-craft Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Planners, Reliability / Process / Project Engineers, Chemical Operators, and all levels of plant supervision. What We're Looking For: • Expertise in 480V service entrance & distribution equipment. • Experience with 480V backup generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS). • Proficiency with motor control centers (MCCs) and AC induction motors. • Knowledge of motor starters and variable frequency drives (VFDs). • Familiarity with circuit breakers, fuses, and other disconnects. • Skilled in working with electrical transformers (Wye-Wye, Delta-Wye). • Capable of handling power panels & wiring for three phase 480V, 208V and single phase 220V, 120V. • Ability to design and troubleshoot control circuits, disconnects, switches, etc. • Experience in conduit installation (rigid, flex, EMT, PVC) and wire pulling. • Understanding of electrical classifications for hazardous areas/industrial facilities. • Proficient with distributed control systems (DCS) like Emerson DeltaV and ABB System Six, and programmable logic controllers (PLC) such as Allen Bradley. • Skilled in calibration and maintenance of analog and discrete instrumentation, and knowledgeable in control wiring, terminal blocks, and low voltage fusing.
