Contract Position Electrical Technician@Concord, NC

Electrical Technician II Location : Concord, NC 12 months contract Provides first, second and third level troubleshooting of equipment/process issues in a manufacturing facility. Works hands-on with manufacturing equipment and activities. Identifies and supports process improvements. Uses judgment, experience and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations. Education & Experience: • Two year Electrical / Controls / Mechatronics technical degree preferred (Will consider experienced candidates with demonstrated skills). • No Degree - 10+ years of work experience. • 2 year degree - 5+ years of work experience. • 4 year degree - 3+ years of experience. Experience: • Experienced in troubleshooting and repair of electrical and pneumatic controls including use of test equipment • Experienced in troubleshooting and repair of simple to complex mechanical equipment • Familiarity with sensors, thermocouples (TCs), switches, motors, and actuators • Ability to read/understand electrical, mechanical drawings, and machine specifications • Familiarity with PLC fundamentals as well as to work through logic for troubleshooting • Computer literate and understands Microsoft windows to locate files, edit, save, transfer, etc. Required Skills: • Sound decision making and prioritization skills • Ability to communicate with all levels of the plant organization • Strong people skills • Ability to handle/prioritize multiple tasks as necessary • Good process and equipment troubleshooting skills • Mechanically and Electrically inclined (aptitude for both) • Ability to handle/prioritize multiple tasks as necessary • Good written and verbal communication skills (detailed oriented) • Ability to train effectively • PC proficient (Excel, Word, SharePoint) • Willing to act as a motivator and role model for the shift Work Schedule: • This position follows a rotating shift pattern to provide 24/7 coverage (Dupont Swing Shift) • Shifts will be 12 hours long and will cover weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
