Electrician-Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Position – Electrical & Instrumentation – General Mechanic Work Schedule – Monday – Friday 6:30 am-2:30 pm; some overtime required. (Rotating shift assignment possible) Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills • Industrial maintenance experience in electrical systems (3+ years) • Problem analysis and problem solving skills • Must read and understand blueprints, sketches, electrical drawings and diagrams, schematics and equipment manuals, and be capable of applying knowledge of written information • Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations and use electrical measuring devices • Ability to use hand tools, electrical measuring equipment and power tools • Possess solid problem solving skills which would include ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and determine root cause failure of operational problems • Bench rebuild and repair capabilities for various instrumentation components and valves • Work with high voltage electrical equipment • Ability to repair plant machinery and equipment • Must have a good work record, a proven job and safety performance history • Possess good computer skills; with a working demonstrated knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word and Excel software • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record Preferred Requirements • Industrial maintenance experience in electrical systems (3+ years) • Significant experience with AC/DC drive systems • Industrial maintenance experience in instrumentation systems such as ammeter, galvanometer, ohmmeter, potentiometer and more • Knowledge of Maintenance Best Practices • Knowledge of SAP maintenance system • Knowledge of Planning and Scheduling • Experience in operation and maintenance of low and high voltage power distribution equipment • 2 year degree in Electrical related fields Physical Requirements Ability to satisfy all the physical requirements and working conditions for this position with or without reasonable accommodations for this position. • Routinely climb ladders as high as 20’ for safety tie-off, elevated heights, underneath tight/narrow spaces, often in hot and low lighted areas • When needed must wear special PPE, which could include FRC, face shields, hot suits, respirators, safety harness, etc. • Ability to stand/walk on hard surfaces (concrete, steel, wood) • Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
