Title – Field Service Licensed Electrician Tenure: Full-Time Location: Charlotte, NC Pay: $39-$42/hr Position Summary: The Field Service Electrical Technician’s primary function is to travel to customers’ locations to perform on-site installations, servicing, and repairs for commissioning or warranty work on customer-finished products. Anticipated travel is 50-75% of the time, by car and/or plane. When not traveling, this role will work on the production floor on the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, compliance with safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role reports to the Field Service Site Supervisor. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and code specifications to determine layout and installation procedures. • Install, replace, or repair wiring, switch boxes, conduits, receptacles, network/coaxial cable assemblies, lighting systems, and other electrical components. • Test equipment for continuity, voltage, resistance, and current using appropriate testing tools. • Install and service switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, regulators, and electrical control systems (hydraulic/pneumatic). • Support Engineering by providing feedback and participating in product improvements and system upgrades. • Execute field installations, commissioning, servicing, and warranty repairs. • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and maintain appropriate documentation. • Maintain inventory records and conduct cyclical counts of electrical components. • Ensure compliance with all OSHA and NEC regulations and safety standards. Requirements: • Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of OSHA. • Must hold a valid Contractor's License or Journeyman Electrician License issued by the State Government (It can be of any state). • Ability to travel 50-75% within the US. • Minimum of 5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience. • OSHA 10/OSHA 30 is an asset. • Previous experience in power generation, energy, oil & gas, or control panel assembly preferred. • Proficient in the use of conduit bending, cabling, and related electrical hardware. • Valid US passport preferred.
