What You’ll Do • Prepare accurate, detailed electrical estimates for industrial and commercial projects • Perform design-build and design-assist estimating sometimes working from full drawings, sometimes from notes, photos, or limited specs • Stay current with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes to ensure estimates reflect compliant, constructible designs • Conduct job walks, take photos and videos, and document existing conditions • Collaborate with project managers, field leads, and clients to confirm scope, constructability, and pricing • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to request material and equipment quotes • Negotiate pricing and confirm lead times to ensure competitive and realistic proposals • Develop material lists, subcontractor quotes, and bid breakdowns • Support value engineering and find practical, cost-effective solutions when the plans don’t tell the full story • Ensure estimates align with company goals, client expectations, and profit targets • Provide a clean, organized handoff from estimating to project execution • Track bid status and follow up on opportunities with clarity and professionalism What You Bring • 2 + years of electrical estimating experience (industrial/commercial preferred) • Solid electrical background field experience or engineering degree a plus • Working knowledge of the NEC and local electrical codes • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, and specifications, and fill in the blanks when details are missing • Strong math, logic, and organizational skills • Clear communication and professional follow-through • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple bids at once • Bonus: experience with job costing, forecasting, or project management What Success Looks Like • Bids go out on time, accurate, and profitable • Hand-offs to project teams are smooth and complete • You think creatively when information is incomplete and still deliver clarity and confidence • You handle bid day like a pro maybe with coffee, maybe with quiet muttering, but always with precision Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary with performance-based incentives • Medical and dental coverage • Retirement plan with company match • Paid time off and holidays • Safety and technology equipment provided • Occasional travel for job walks and project meetings Who Thrives Here You take pride in doing things right.
