The primary purpose of this position is to maintain high levels of production by minimizing downtime through both predictive and preventive maintenance on all equipment. The electrician will work closely with the Maintenance, Production, and Management Teams to identify and resolve issues through formal action planning. This role is critical in ensuring that all electrical systems within the mill are functioning optimally, which includes familiarity with the mill's electrical systems such as MCCs, disconnects, machines, and conveying systems. The electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various electrical systems, including 120 vac to 480 vac control power, low voltage AC and DC systems, and 3-phase power. They will also be expected to have a good understanding of machine center control and electrical systems, including PLC programming and troubleshooting. The role involves reading blueprints, installing electrical systems according to code, and making prints of completed installations. Additionally, the electrician will monitor and report electrical maintenance performance to the Electrical Department Supervisor and work with controls technicians to schedule electrical personnel on projects or mill modifications.
