Electrician/Day Shift RATE OF PAY: $27.25 - $41.00 DOE

Job Description RATE OF PAY: $27.25 - $41.00 DOE with shift premiums of $0.50 for hours worked 4pm-midnight and $1.00 for hours worked midnight-8am. Longevity premium of $0.25 after one year of service. Attendance Premium of $0.25. POSITION PURPOSE: • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all plant electrical, distribution and control systems and installation of new systems and equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance on all systems as required to ensure plant reliability. • Maintains plant records as required, maintain good housekeeping and assist other plant personnel as needed. • Perform all tasks in a safe and productive manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot All plant electrical, distribution and control systems. • Installation of new systems and equipment, including retro fits. • Making appropriate log entries, assisting in other areas of the plant as required. • Maintain safety, housekeeping, sanitation and disease control Requirements while performing job duties. • Assist with ordering materials and supplies. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: • Recommend purchasing of tools and electrical replacements parts. • Provide production with time estimates on repairs. • Assist in cost estimates for capital projects both labor and material. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Must a minimum of three years of experience as plant electrician in a processing environment. • Must have knowledge of S/C variable frequency derives and programmable logic controllers. • Must be self- motivated and able to work in a wet, cool and sometimes unpleasant environment with a minimum of supervision. • Must be able to read and write in English and have good math skills. • Must have a demonstrated history of dependability, particularly with regard to safety and attendance. • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to work from ladders and elevated platforms. • Must be able to work in confined and elevated spaces. • Must be willing and able to work various shifts, over time and non-standard work times. • Must have own tools. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
