Brief Description Nextant is looking for an Electrical Engineer 1 to join our client team. The main function of an electrical engineer is to help team first level debug, for example device can't boot, can't charge, help test the power rail, measure the temperature, execute some test script, reproduce a failure case, mockup a new circuit for test etc. Job Responsibilities: • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability. • Team player and detail oriented. • Solid EE fundamental knowledge. • Familiar with analog and digital circuit design, could read schematic and layout. • Better to have PCB design experience, including floor planning, stack up generation, partitioning. • Understanding of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, LPDDR3, USB3.0, MIPI CSI-2 etc. • Familiarity with Cadence Orcad and Allegro ECAD tool. • Prototype and debug skills. • Experience using high speed bench analysis tools and equipment. • Understanding simulation process flow, tools and models. • Experience creating a connector pinout that is optimized for routing, minimizing EMC risk, GND return/impedance paths. • Experience of derating and FMEA analysis. Requirements: • 1-2 years’ experience required. • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required to be eligible for this role. • Must have some entry-level experience in Electrical Engineering (EE). • Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience with fundamental knowledge of Electrical Engineering (EE)/Computer Engineering (CompE). • Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience with schematic design tools for analog and digital circuits. • Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience with first level debug. • Disqualifiers: Candidates that are significantly overqualified will not be eligible for the role.
