Works on wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and equipment specifications. Makes calculations for load requirements for circuits and chooses appropriate size and grade components. Sets up, repairs, adjusts electronic equipment independently. Installs supply and production equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controls, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, etc. Locates and diagnoses faults on electrical equipment or systems which may involve complex inter-locking or inter-related circuits. Works to legal wiring regulations and company norms and procedures. Full knowledge of the job. Substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Assignments are moderately difficult, may require some judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendation. Requires general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
