Our Electrical Apprentice works under general supervision and direction from our certified electrician. Pay range: $18 - $24 hour, based on experience. Job Duties: • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit. • Pulling and terminating wire • Installing electrical equipment • Assist Journeyman with installing and troubleshooting lighting, panels, disconnects, conduit, solar panels, inverters. • Trace out short circuits in wiring, using a test meter. • Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools. • Clean work area. Required Qualifications: • Minimum 10 Years Electrical Testing Experience • Journeyman License in MD • Experience using various testing tools, including but not limited to, multimeters, power meters, insulation testers, VLF, primary injection, secondary injection relay testing, circuit breaker analyzer, turns ratio, high potential tester, thermography, oscilloscope, HV/MV voltage detector, CT tester, ground resistance tester, power factor testing power quality recorder installation and removal, power logger installation and removal. • Solid Understanding of NEC, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E and OSHA requirements • Proven ability to manage and communicate large amounts of technical information • Proven ability to interact with Customers • Proven ability to lead maintenance jobs • Arc Flash Hazard awareness and use of Arc Flash PPE • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and technical drawings. • Skills and experience to operate Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft office tools. • OSHA 10 Certification • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Must complete Level-II Thermographer Certification within 3 years of hire Preferred Qualifications: • NETA or NICET Level II or higher certification. • Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician/Technology program • Level I or Level II Thermography Certification • Electrical Professional Engineer or Technologist • Experience with Siemens, Eaton, ABB, GE and Honeywell equipment. • Experience with relay testing and different testing instrument manufacturers such as Omicron, Doble, HVA and Megger • OSHA 30 Certification
