Electrical Apprentice

This position will report to HB Home Services, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. ROLE: Electrician Apprentice POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrician Apprentice works alongside experienced electricians in a predominantly residential setting. Tasks will vary and provide opportunities to learn home wiring diagnostics, repairs, panel replacement, remodeling projects, and other trade-related skills. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience while supporting team members, developing technical knowledge, and building a foundation for a long-term career in the electrical trade. Must be a team player, have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist experienced electricians with residential electrical tasks under supervision • Learn to operate trade-specific machinery and tools safely • Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and customers • Observe and practice safe work habits, follow all safety protocols, and report unsafe conditions • Develop the ability to evaluate situations and take proper corrective actions under guidance • Perform basic math computations as needed for trade tasks • Learn to read, understand, and work from specifications and drawings • Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and work areas • Additional duties as assigned MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Interest in the electrical trade and willingness to learn • No prior electrical experience required; previous experience in construction or related fields is a plus • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, lift, and move objects as needed • Willingness to work toward journeyman licensing through apprenticeship program • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required • Basic familiarity with smartphones, tablets, or hand-held computers is a plus • Travel may be required PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift equipment, tools, products, and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
