We are seeking an Electrician in our Carlisle, PA Plant. Shift: 7am- 3:30pm, OT as required Job Summary: The Grade 4 Electrician plans, lays out, and performs all operations related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of complicated electrical equipment and circuitry. The person in this position installs, maintains, and repairs electric motors, digital drives, high voltage circuits, and electrical control panels. Work for this position involves utilizing knowledge of the electrical trade and the understanding of Plant operating principles to ensure that equipment functions properly and safely. Duties & Responsibilities: • Repairing and maintaining electric motors and their accessory equipment • Installing and repairing all types of electronic equipment including PLC programmers • Maintaining and installing electrical services in Syntec buildings including lighting and HVAC • Installing new equipment by mounting fixtures, running conduit, pulling wire, and connecting wiring • Troubleshooting electrical problems and breakdowns • Performing machine changeovers for all plant processes and products • Performing preventative maintenance on plant equipment • Completing required paperwork • Maintain the Boiler room • Calibrate scales and equipment Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge: • Complete understanding of AC/DC current 100, 200, 480, and 2300V circuitry • Familiarity with PLC programming, HMI's, sensors, level controls, and AC/DC drives • Pneumatic and hydraulic system operation • General understanding of plant processes and equipment operations • General understanding of electrical safety principles such as Lockout/Tagout and NFPA70E • Skills: • Reading and comprehension of maintenance manuals, motor nameplate information, work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, and identification of power disconnects, breakers, and valves • Mathematical calculations including amperage, wattage, resistance, volt amps, calibration setups, and measuring materials • Writing out work orders, preventative maintenance worksheets, machine operation reports, and daily work reports • Entering comments and generating work orders electronically through the SAP CMMS system • Operating and interpreting data of organizational strategy Education & Experience: • Education: • Completion of an accredited (8,000 hour) apprenticeship program, technical school program, or college degree in the electrical field • All classifications of electricians will be required to attend, participate, and complete continuing education, including seminars and training sessions both in and out of the plant as directed and planned by their Shift Crew Leader or Maintenance supervisor, as a condition of employment in this position • Experience: • 4+ years of electrical experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment including a familiarity with PLC programming, operation of digital drives, and setup, and maintenance of complicated electrical equipment Equipment & Data Used: • Equipment run on the job: • PLC, PC's, battery hydrometers, multimeters, amp meters, hydraulic jacks, soldering irons, acetylene torches, AGV's, forklifts, drill presses, band saws, hydraulic presses, lathes, scissor lifts, company vehicles, tractors, conduit benders, cable pullers, core drills, ramsets, and plant production equipment • Tools required on the job: • Knives, feeler gauges, micrometers, tape measures, various hand tools and power tools, pipe threaders, and welders • Data used on the job: • Motor nameplate information, maintenance manuals, schematics, readouts from meters, maintenance schedules, and work order reports Work Environment/Time Worked: • Work Environment: • Work occurs inside and outside of Plant 4, 5, 6, CCW, Shiffer Building, Administration Building, and the Technical Center • Plant ambient temperatures in the summer match the outside temperature • Potential for temperatures exceeding 120ᵒF and below 32ᵒF • Exposure to rubber fumes, cleaning solution fumes, solvent fumes, airborne mica dust, RTV, carbon black, hydraulic oils, lubricating oils, toluene, heptane, xylene, oxsol, MEK, 90 Solvent, tert butyl acetate, VMP naptha, acetone, and loud noise levels (PPE Provided) • 66KV supply to electric yard • Pinch points on moving mechanical parts • Heavy equipment includes forklifts, hoists, bridge cranes, and tractors • Confined space work in vulcanizers, while under equipment, and while working on the mixer body • Class 1 Division 1 and Class 1 Division 2 hazardous environments • Exposure to Chemicals used in the CCW manufacturing process • Can be fast paced • Uniforms are issued and laundered by the company • Time Worked: • Monday – Friday with Saturday/Sunday overtime as business needs dictate • 3 Fixed Shifts • 1st Shift (7:00AM – 3:00PM) • 2nd Shift (3:30PM – 11:00PM) • 3rd Shift (11:00PM – 7:00AM) Physical Requirements: • Climbing – while on ladders and stars to get to the mezzanine • Balancing – while working from scissor lifts • Stooping, Kneeling, & Crouching – while working on electrical cabinets, control panels, and motors mounted on the floor • Crawling – while working under machinery such as the 100' windup or the ASBM • Reaching – must be able to reach above shoulder level • Standing – must be able to stand for the majority of the shift • Walking – must be able to walk to and from different areas of the plant and areas of the Carlisle Campus • Pushing – while moving heavy equipment on carts and when changing rolls • Pulling – while operating come-a-longs, conduit benders, lifting equipment, and tools to the roof with a rope • Lifting – must be able to lift up to 60lbs • Sight – must be able to see and recognize hazards and warnings • Talking & Hearing – must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, management,
