Electrical Service Technician

Gettle is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Service Technician to travel to client sites to perform electrical repairs and maintenance on various types of industrial equipment. The Service Technician is responsible to maintaining a high level of quality control, professionalism, and must stay current with industry trends and standards. Electrical Service Technician | Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Experience with all wiring methods associated with construction electrical work. • Ensure electrical installations conform to NEC and trade standards. • The ability to troubleshoot commercial and/or industrial control circuits. • Must have working knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and motor controls. • PLC programming and troubleshooting. • Must use various types of construction tools and equipment. • Compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements for DOT drivers. • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. • Other duties as assigned. Electrical Service Technician | Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical trade school certificate preferred. • Completion of electrical apprenticeship a plus. • Five or more years of electrical and/or instrumentation experience in heavy industrial applications. • Valid driver's license and/or valid DOT medical card. • VFD and soft start troubleshooting, and start-up experience required. • Ability to work overtime and on-call. • Must be able to operate lifts and bucket trucks. • The ability to regularly talk and hear. • Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance. • The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. • Able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 80 pounds. • Able to push or pull up to 100 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to focus. Job Title: Electrical Panel Builder Job Description The Electrical Panel Builder is responsible for all aspects of laying out, assembling, and final testing of Control Panel Systems for Automated Systems in manufacturing, distribution, utilities, and other control systems. This role requires reading schematics and blueprints, selecting parts for projects, and laying out enclosures, wiring, controllers, and electronic components such as HMIs, VFDs, PLCs, and other electrical devices. Quality and appearance of panels are extremely important, and work is completed to UL508A standards. Responsibilities • Lay out, assemble, and test Control Panel Systems. • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work orders. • Select parts for each project and lay out enclosures, wiring, controllers, and electronic components. • Ensure panels meet quality and appearance standards. • Adhere to UL508A standards. Essential Skills • 2+ years of experience in Industrial Electricity. • Strong schematic reading skills. • Understanding of VFDs, PLCs, and Industrial Electricity.
