Electrical Service Technician

Why Join Us? • Top-Tier Pay: Competitive hourly rates with bonus and incentive opportunities • Fully Stocked Trucks: Company-provided vehicle with gas card and tools • Ongoing Training: Paid technical training, certifications, and development programs • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays • Career Growth: Clear paths for advancement into leadership or specialization • Strong Company Culture: Team outings, employee appreciation events, and supportive leadership • Steady Work: Year-round residential and light commercial projects What You’ll Do • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring • Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical systems to identify issues • Perform work in compliance with NEC codes, blueprints, and industry standards • Test systems and components to ensure proper functionality • Complete service documentation accurately and timely • Maintain proper inventory of supplies and parts • Calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems • Troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently What We’re Looking For • 3–5 years of field electrical experience (residential/light commercial preferred) • Strong knowledge of current NEC codes • Ability to diagnose, repair, and work on circuits ranging from 24 VDC to 480 Volt AC • Experience installing conduit, Romex, MC cable, service cable, and underground wiring • Ability to install electrical devices (receptacles, lights, ceiling fans, switches, smoke detectors, etc.) • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs • Strong communication skills with both customers and colleagues • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license preferred Physical Requirements: • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Hours: 6:00pm - 6:00am with Overtime as needed Schedule: Monday - Thursday (Every other Thursday based on production) Location: 18249 Phoenix Dr., Hagerstown, MD 21742 As our Maintenance Electrical Mechanic 3, you will: • Work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks; troubleshoot/repair equipment and facility failures, while following all safety and quality control standards. • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant machinery and production equipment such as valves, conveyors, compressors, pumps, pneumatic hydraulics and boilers. • Troubleshoot, repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters etc. as needed. • Enter work orders in the department software tracking program. • Responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial or commercial electrical systems and equipment. • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments. • Operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools, lathes, mills and other tools as necessary following standard operating procedures, (SOPs). • Fabricate parts and modify new and existing equipment. • Repair and/or troubleshoot electrical problems. • Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures . • Work on facilities tasks as needed. • Open availability to be ‘called in’ to work for emergencies or after hours projects. • Drive company vehicles as needed. • All other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: • Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations, carry up to 60lbs, and stand for 12 hours. • Must be able to work in varying conditions. • Ability to kneel, bend and reach for extended periods of time. • May be exposed to controlled chemical mists or vapors. Qualifications: • State or Government issued Driver’s License. • Knowledge in Relay Logic preferred. • Ability to read and understand written instructions. • High levels of attention to detail. • Ability to work as a team and independently. • 2 Years’ machine repair and maintenance experience-preferably in a manufacturing setting. • Technical training with a concentration in machine mechanics strongly preferred.
